Revlon's new liquid lipstick has a slick ad campaign featuring the beautiful Jennifer Connelly and a tagline promising that the product "has it all." But is there really such a thing as truth in advertising? Reader Jenzene says not so much. I'll let her take it from here:
"It doesn't give you glossy lips like Jennifer Connelly has in the ads. Nope, it dries matte. It's also very drying! There's no glossy layer, there's no moisture at all. IT'S LIKE A LIP STAIN, but more pigmented than a typical lip stain (because it's supposed to be like a lipstick). The color dries on my lips, and you can still see the dry skin and lines on my lips. No good."
If you've had a recent great (or not-so-great) experience with a product, please let me know; I value my readers' opinions. Just head over to the Product Reviews section and tell me what you think.

I agree with this review. I tried the tomato red because I wanted to test what I look like with red and it was a reasonable price (and let's face it, Jennifer looks amazing in the ad and I got sucked in). It really dried out my lips. I had to top off with other gloss. It looked pretty, but nothing like the ads
1Max Factor makes the best "color stay" lipstick/gloss. The gloss is separate. But it stays ALL day!
2It's a shame that the ads are misleading, but I might pick this up now based on your review. I love my Benetint and I wish I could get it in more colors, I always pair with a gloss.
3I tried the CoverGirl Outlast Lipstain and really liked it. I expected it to be matte - and it was - but what is really cool is how light weight it is. I don't love the color I picked but I will probably buy another one and see if I can find my perfect color. It's hard being a redhead
4That's why I like free samples so you can test the product before you buy and spend all that money for something that is just going to sit in your make-up bag, and most things don't work as well as they are advertised.
