Love the braid trend when it's messy and casual, this looks like a pretzel roll.

She already looks so old and then topped off with this pretzel roll on her head ---makes her look 20 years older than she is.

Both the outfit & hairdo look wayyyy to stuffy & old for her.

The hair wouldn''t be so bad if the outfit wasn't so distracting. She needed a simple shift or something to pull it off.

i'm not a fan of braids of any sort really, but it looks like she's got a big piece of challah bread pinned to the back of her head.

It's Rome! Valentino! Fashion! I thik the drama of her hair and clothes look appropriate for the event. If she went to the Shrek 3 premiere looking like that, I'd be a bit surprised!

The dress/outfit is very substantial, she needs substantial hair to support it. The hair doesn't overwhelm the outfit, but it's bold enough to support the outfit.

That bun does not flatter her nose is ANY way

I like braided buns but she took it to the extreme.

i agree with most, the braided bun looks nice and sjp pulls it off so well, but it would better suit a less distracting outfit.

i like the look but her head and body are too small to carry it off. sorry SJP but even you aren't that good! my neck gets sore just looking at it.

then again, look at the size of that collar. perhaps a smaller bun may have disappeared in the entire outfit.

It's definitely TOO big for her, it looks like it's weighing her down...I think she does look best with her hair pulled up, but in other ways..Or if it's down, I think it has to be shorter so that her face doesn't look so long...

Odd...I was just talking yesterday with a friend about how there are few celebrities out there that we think pretty much *always* get it right, and she was one that we said does look great all the time.

This time, though, not so much. I agree with others that it ages her, and looks a little heavy. I don't HATE it, but definitely have seen her with better hair. In my opinion, a rare miss for her, though.
