I am sure you are well aware of what the word natural means, but in the beauty sense, it's actually more scientific than you would think.
For a product to be approved and labeled natural, its materials have to be 100% in their original state. This means their inherent chemical bonds must be intact.
In the cosmetics world, materials can be processed only enough so that the physical shape is formed (the shape of a lipstick, blush, etc..) by means of grinding, chopping or packing, but the chemical structure needs to remain unaltered.

Which brand makes natural cosmetics?
1Bare Essentials does. (I really hate promoting product that does it very well on it's own) but, this product is great. I've been using the foundation/blush/etc for over a year now and my skin has gotten better because of it.
2And I've gotten many compliments on how 'natural' I am....
This word is so over-used in the cosmetics industry, claims of "natural" products cannot be trusted. The only way to be 100% sure is for the consumer to research ingredients and brands, always read ingredient lists and make the decision for themselves!
