I just found some new Chanel ads starring Keira Knightley, and if she isn't the perfect modern-day face of Chanel, I don't know who would do it better!
I know that you're split on whether she's a more fitting model for Coco Mademoiselle than Kate Moss was, but you've got to admit, the girl looks amazing here. I love the soft pink lip, which makes her look very appropriate for this legendary design house, n'est-ce pas?

Keira Knightley will star as Coco Mademoiselle in a new PR movie for the Chanel perfume. The British actress, dressed in a red chiffon dress by Karl Lagerfeld, will play a mysterious star in a glamorous movie directed by Joe Wright.
The "PR movie" (read: advertisement that will probably be beautiful nonetheless) is due in September. What do you think of Keira here—is it hats off to her? (Sorry, couldn't resist.)

5It doesn't seem very feminine to me (other than the red dress pic), perhaps it's part of the "story"? I like Keira as an actress, but not so sure about as a person, and as a model - I think she needs to eat something! So, CoCo Mademoiselle Chanel doesn't seem very appealing to me according to this.

13I don't think it's the most outstanding ad I've ever seen, but she lovely in it. She looks very nice here...why does she looks so scummy and dirty in real life? Is it some sort of rebellion? Or pure laziness? Just asking. =)

18Maybe I'm wrong, but she just doesn't seem like a Chanel girl. I've seen too many downtime pics of her where she's out in public looking a mess. To me, Chanel is a lifesytle, and Kiera just doesn't live it (not that Kate Moss did, either...)

by the way, i've been wearing Coco Mademoiselle for about 6 years and even though i've tried other fragrances it's still my favorite and i get compliments ALL the time
the ads are shot perfectly but im not sure about keira.. i lov her but she seems off balanced a little bit.. but chanel does veer left and isnt in your face.im just not sure..
30I think she's looks nice but it's really annoying that celebs are taking over everything...(modelling, clothes designing etc.)

39She always poses with her mouth slightly open. It annoys me so much. I personally think she's unattractive and waayyyyy too skinny.
