This month's issue of Elle features Sarah Jessica Parker and how she's become not just a celebrity, but also a brilliant businesswoman. In the story, SJP talks about Covet, her new fragrance:
"I know this about me: I will only do something that I can completely and utterly, for better or worse, take the credit, take the blame for, 100 percent," she says. Indeed, the bigwigs at Coty seem bemused by just how deeply she plunged herself into her two fragrances—two-year-old Lovely and, new this month, Covet—obsessing over everything from the herringbone-pattern box to the ultraspecific note of geranium in the scent itself ("I like that the plant was pulled from the earth, so you smell all the green of the sand and the dirt, and just a little bit of those petals on the bottom," Parker says).

Covet is starting to roll out into Macy's stores already, but it isn't yet available online. The scent is supposed to be fresh and earthy, but like Sarah Jessica herself, it's in a classy-not-hippie manner. Did you like Lovely? Are you going to buy Covet when it's out? And what do you think about the ads and packaging, below? Source

Oh I really wanna check this scent out. Her Lovely Liquid Satin is my signature scent it's so soft and fresh. I was shocked to find a good celebrity scent so I'm hoping she hits a win with this one too!
I loved Lovely...looking forward to smelling this new one!
i love the advertising! she must be very good at marketing =]
I heard so much good things about Lovely but have yet to try it. I love her ads she selects. They look too high fashion then other ads for celebrity perfumes but then again it's SJP.
Lovely is a beautiful perfume. Covet has such a beatiful bottle - That alone make me want it,lol. Can't wait to try this.
i love SJP but i'm a Live by JLo addict.
I can't wait to get a whiff! I love her!
i like the lovely scent so i hope this one is good too.
Lovely is one of my favorite scents. It gives me such a classic feeling whenever I wear it. I definitely want to get Covet, the ads are great, I was so excited when I saw it in my Glamour magazine!
The packaging is pretty nice!! But I'm a Juicy Couture Perfume girl! :T
I actually hated Lovely (sorry!), but I love SJP so I'm eager to smell this new offering in the hopes it lives up to it's hype!
I like SJP and really liked Lovely. But, I hate this new perfume. The bottle is really ugly and the fragrance looks like green glob. The ad also reminds me of the terrible Coach ad with the huge fragrance bottle - not very classy.
I loved Lovely but was saddened to find out that it didn't mix with my natural body chemicals so it turned into a not so nice smell on me but my mom loves Lovely and it smells divine on her. I actually have a sample of Covet in my glamour magazine...I should really go smell it!
I'm kinda tired of celebrities and their perfume..
Interested to check it out- Lovely is very nice once its had a chance to sit for a few. What still gets to me is the grandma'ish floral smell when you first spray it!
I wasn't crazy about Lovely, but I have that same Glamour where there's a sample of Covet, and I really like it! If it smells good on me (hard to tell with those paper samples in mags), I'll definitely buy it, I need some new perfumes.
i have never seen or smelled her perfumes. now that i no i will look for them.
I love the smell of geraniums and can't wait to try this new scent.
As an SJP fan, I requested Lovely for my birthday two years ago scent unsmelled
. I didn't actuially like it as much as I had hoped, so I am hoping Covet is more like it.
I smelled this the other day in one of my mags and it was divine. Love SJP!
Not a fan of the first scent haven't smelled any others.
Love her dress in the ad!
I smelled this and it is citrusy and pretty. I expected something darker and dirtier, based on her interviews. I will probably at least get the body lotion (if it's out) but I wish it had a more "sinister" smell. More dangerous, like the name.
