My Summery (fake) tan look can't last me past next month, so last week I started hunting for a paler shade that would give me good coverage with a reasonable SPF. I picked up this L'Oréal True Match Liquid Makeup ($11) at Walgreens, and I've been pleased so far. The texture is nice, the shade matching really is as good as Beyonce says, and it doesn't darken or yellow as it dries like most drugstore foundations. It also didn't break me out, which is rare.
It definitely stays on all day, and while I wish it had a higher SPF, the protection factor of 17 that it does have isn't half bad. I love my Prescriptives Custom Blend Foundation, but this one is pretty good for 11 bucks. The only place I give it a thumbs down is around my eyes. Within minutes of putting it on, I had crow's feet I'd never seen before, weird white lines under my eyes, and stripes on my lids. The stuff stays, but it settles really deep, so substitute some concealer on your more delicate, line-prone spots.

im so glad you finally reviewed this. its my abs. fav foundation!
1I might have to try it again. I did try it in HS, and I was super pale, and I got Alabaster. I think as a teen my hormones were just raging and my skin acted up, so it DID turn orange-y on me. But now that I am in my 20's, my skin is perfectly normal...this may work. I have been using minerals for years now...but I may have to give it another try.
2This is the best foundation ever! I've finished like 3 bottles of this stuff, no kidding! I can't believe you hadn't tried or reviewed it yet!
3This is really good stuff, particularly for a drug store brand. I think Loreal were one of the first drug store cosmetic lines (following the lead of Prescriptives and Bobbi Brown) to come out with yellow-base, truer to skin color foundation.
4I use this. I like alabaster
5I love this foundation!
6I use alabaster - it's one of the few foundations pale enough for me that blends in with my skin tone.
7I love this foundation! I use a wet makeup sponge to dab it on so it goes on moist and light. A light dusting of powder sets it for the day. It covers all of my redness, and it doesn't look like a mask.

to all the alabaster ladies! Yay! Me too.
9If it's good enough for Dita...
10I hate this stuff. Even the palest ones don't look natural on me.
