Welcome back to Part V of FabSugar's detailed look at make-up brushes. Today's installment: blush brushes. (To read the other installments, click here.) When buying a blush brush, it's important to get a dome shape, since you want the color on the center of the brush. Tapered, natural bristles and a medium-faced brush work best. Do yourself a favor a throw away that mini brush that comes with your blush purchase. It's too narrow, and you'll wind up drawing a stripe on your cheeks reminiscent of the Joan Jett era.

To apply, dab the blush on your brush, tap off the extra powder as you would for an angled eyeshadow brush, and smile as you look at yourself in the mirror to find the apple area on your cheeks. Keep the color light and blend outward and downward to create a healthy flush. Here are my picks for the best powder blush brushes.
