Welcome to back to the basics! This is a BellaSugar feature that highlights some of my favorite products on the market that don't always get the attention they deserve because they aren't new or improved.
Red nail polish is a quintessentially classic look, and I hope you like these suggestions. OPI Red ($7.50) is more of a pinky-red than a true tomato red. I've been a big fan of this color for a long, long time and I even sported it on my toes for the better part of 2005! It is part of the OPI Classics Nail Polish collection, and it remains one of OPI's best-selling colors.

Revlon Red Nail Enamel ($4.59) is the first red nail polish I ever tried and I wore it for years. Now this is a true red. Not too orange, not too blue. It's the perfect polish to make a statement, and you can't beat the price!
Chanel Le Vernis in Shanghai Red ($19) is a deep red with just a little bit of shimmer. This was the first "designer" nail polish I ever wore. As much as I love, love, love the color, I'll admit, it's not very chip resistant. However, it does have a high shine and requires very little drying time.

I also like OPI Kangarooby which is a nice, non-pink red, slightly darker than a cherry. It's my current favorite!

3My favorite red is OPI's I'm Not Really a Waitress - tried and true! Whenever I want red, that's my go-to polish.
4OPI has some pretty good colors. They're nice and rich.
5I don't like colored nail polish, only french or clear. I hate it when it chips.

8I'm a huge fan of OPI's Dutch Tulips..its not a true red, as is waivers a teeny biton the pink side but I think that's why it's so complimentary to skin tones.
I live checking out the red's that pop up around the holidays.. I still wear OPI joyful Toyfull Red now and then.
9Jaguar by Essie is my favorite. Its like a candy apple red with a hint of gold shimmer

16Essie Russian Roulette is a bright red-orange that is a true red with 2 coats. a similar color that I love is by NARS which I prefer over the Essie Russian Roulette

18For reds, I have Sally Hanson's Sensual Red and some Honeymoon red color. I also have a deep, rich Nicole Miller red similar to the Chanel stuff.

26Essie Tiny Wine-y is an amazing pink-y red that is totally non- sparkly (call me a purist, but there's nothing i hate more than shimmery or pearly nail polishes).
