Um, wtf to the Rainbow Bright? That is not o.k.
1..and now they are doing it to Dora!
I loved Rainbow Brite. I even had one of those sprite dolls.
2Ugh, Rainbow Brite does NOT look good. It's like they put on Barbie's head on a little girl's body.
The original Rainbow Brite looked much better.
3that is a hot mess. new rainbow brite looks less fun more skanky rave. skanky rave is fine...its fun...but for rainbow brite! dora the explorer makeover was bad; but this is terrifying
4Regarding the study: At first when I say the title of this article I was shocked, because my own dissertation research (and therefore everything peer reviewed journal article I have come across thus far) has said that plus-sized models seem to help women feel better about themselves. But this makes sense given the other research. The thinner you are the less upset you get over the skinny models and the better the bigger models make you feel (there is less discrepancy between what you see and what you are). "healthy weight" women respond well to plus sized models and not so well to skinny models. I guess I need to go back through the journals and try to find this study and see if I need to add it to my lit review and dissertation!
5They are messing with too many classics it seems!
6nooooooooooo not my sparkly and fabulous Rainbow Brite!!! booo this makeover sucks.
7She looks like she went on a diet!
8Yeah, I'm similarly bummed about Strawberry Shortcake and Dora. Sigh.
