Before Evan Rachel Wood started dating Marilyn Manson, she favored soft, pretty makeup and hair. Since coupling up with Marilyn, though, she's gone for a retro glam look nearly identical to that of his ex-wife, burlesque star Dita Von Teese. How do you feel when people mimic your hair and makeup? Flattered, upset, neutral? Or something else completely?

lol - get over it. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
Of course, in ERWood's case, I have to wonder if it wasn't Marilyn himself who had influence over her styling, rather than Dita....
1hate imitators and wannabe"s
2Oh, people copy my look ALL the time! Tee shirts, jeans, flipflops, uhh!
I only wish I had a look so distinctive it could be copied. I'm working on it.
3ERW is a pale, pale shadow of the glorious glamour queen that is the fabulous ms. DVT. of course, DVT is far better off without that gross goth fughole, as far as i'm concerned
4when it's blatant it can be unnerving however it's not the end of the world, just consider it as a form flattery.
Just because Evan Rachel Wood is wearing red lipstick doesn't mean she's imitating anyone, it's a trend we've seen many celebs adopt even if it suits them or not.
5i am indifferent because if other pple copy, it prolly means they like the way i do my stuff. that said, no matter who copies, the end result is always different, so who cares?
6i find it annoying. i have this friend, ever since i've known her (13 or 14 years) she goes through phases where she copies people's looks, attitudes, etc. and these looks tend to be dramatic. 9th grade it was preppy, 10th it was hippie, 11th & 12th it was lots of makeup & shopping at the express. and on and on. for the past couple of years she's been copying me. even down to copying certain things i say or do that make people laugh. clearly she has some self esteem issues, but this behavior gets on my nerves.
7I said indifferent...mainly because if someone else feels so insecure that they have to imitate someone else's "look" then that's on them not me. Like the others said it is a form of flattery in a way...sincere or not.
8I think Rachel is a home wreckerr!!!
9i think it can be annoying. i wouldn't get crazy over it but i would notice it and wonder why the person couldn't get their own look.
10LOL@ Evan Rachel morphing into Dita! That was my laugh for the morning.
11I'm indifferent to style copiers.
I find it completely annoying. I am my own person and they should be theirs as well.
12I think it's annoying when I am trying to develope my own unique style and people copy it in an obvious way. For example: I got my nose pierced last year, told two of my friends about it, and a month later when they came home from college BOTH of them had also gotten their nose pierced after they heard about mine! huh?! It was kind of a big decision for me and they just coppied me on a whim!
13If someone out there wanted to look like me I don't know if I would laugh or cry.
14i just hate it. i tryed to be flattered, but it SUCKS when it's ur best friend thats imitating you. from hair cut, to "idols", all the way to brands of purses that i buy. i cant go window shopping with her cuz she'll buy whatever i say i like... or i go window shopping, but i won't admit to liking anything. ugh. lol.
15both. while i'm flattered that you like what i like enough to copy it, please don't try to be me.
16Anyone can copy me. I'm usually in jeans/track pants and a t-shirt with a pair of comfy loafers or a pair of sneaks.
Most mornings I don't bother with makeup, so my face is natural and my hair is pulled back in a bun. I guess I'm distinctive by being not distinctive.
17I am completely indifferent. Fashion, beauty, hair, and music (etc) are cyclical, it is just a matter of when people pick up on it.
I can't wait to see when ERW dyes her hair black...
18It depends. If I spent a ton of money on designer looks, I might get a teeny bit irritated if my friends went out and bought the same stuff as me, because I was spending a lot of dough to be unique. But I'd still be a bit flattered as well.
As it is right now, I shop at Target, Old Navy, the Gap, Forever 21, etc. Basically, I dress like almost everyone else I see. So I can't get mad at someone for dressing the same way. It's not like they're seeing me and saying, "A black shirt, jeans, and ballet flats? WOW, what an amazing, unique look!"
19I don't really care what anyone else does as long as it isn't an exact copy of my look. I think Evan Rachel Wood copying Dita is just horrible because it's like rubbing it in her face.
20I really don't care. They may not be copying, they may just have discovered something they wanted to try. Doesn't bother me either way.
21It depends on who is copying me. If it's my little sister and her friends than it's cool.
22In the past, I've had two friends who blatantly copied me and honestly, it was really unnerving. One of them did it in a more flattering way, although it was still a bit much, and the other was a totally psycho "Single White Female" kind of stalker situation. I don't consider my style all that unique, but both of them took it to a personal level and adopted my hobbies and interests as well. It was way more creepy and irritating than flattering.
I guess when you're a celebrity it can't be helped that much because you're kind of out there as a style icon to begin with. I think it's really uncool that ERW is copying DVT, because of the fact that I'm sure DVT isn't a fan of ERW! That's pretty tacky in my opinion.
23I love Dita, I would wanna kill that lil bi*ch if I was her...
I hate being copied...
Being inspired by someones look is ok, but buying the exact same things is the worst. It always happens to me, it would be another thing if the person blatantly copying u would say "I really loved your look, I decided to try it for myself" but nooooooooo. Individuality is really important, IMO, too bad the copiers dont realize this.
24I hate it...I had a girlfriend that copied everything I did. If I bought a purse and she liked it she bought it. I got a tattoo...she got a tattoo...I dyed my hair red...she put red streaks in her hair....I would collect frog figurines...she would start to collect frogs...then I collect fairy's and she started collecting fairys...I decorated my house with a nautical theme she did the same...it drove me crazy!!!! People even started to notice what she was doing. We are not friends any more....I don't miss her being a copy-cat.
25What I don't like is this: One of the girls in the office that I work in always made fun of my hair cut and color. And she copied it EVERY TIME!!!!
26At first I'm flattered and then the more I look at them, the more I wonder why they can't do their own thing.
27It doesn't bother me it's not like i own the look exclusively.I've always taken it as a compliment just as long as we didn't look like twins. I like to put my own personal touches to it and if someone wants to copy my style i'm flattered and if not that's okay too.....
28IMHO: Imitation may be the greatest form of flattery but hooking up with a woman's ex and then stealing her look to fit in better (well, as well as anyone can fit in with Manson) is a little too SWF. If she dyes her hair black next, I'd be worried if I were Dita. I wonder if he is encouraging this new look so his fans don't think he has sold out? Just curious.
29annoyed! i know it's immature, but i can't help but feel that way
30I hate it! I have a co-worker that, for a period of about 6 months, would come in 2-3 days after I'd gotten a haircut each month with her hair cut the same way, no matter what I'd had done to it. She also started trying to replicate some of my favorite outfits. Stalk much?!?!
31Dita VonTeese certainly isn't the only woman to have ever sported red lipstick and the liquid liner cat-eye... Hopefully she won't mind being copied by everyone this fall!
That being said... when your ex starts dating someone who then transforms into your doppelganger, it's just creepy.

32yes, imitation is the biggest form of flattery...but a BIT freaky when a new GF totally does herself up just like the EX...i'm all about imitating, but maybe she's taken it too far! kind of, people are laughing at her!! hmmm...i think it all depends on the situation and people invovled maybe!
33I doubt Dita Von Tese is flatterd with her exs new gf trying to copy her look, That would really bug you. It depends tho. If it's to the extreme, like trying to copy ur whole style and every outfit then no i think tht would be annoying.
34It's one of my pet peeves.
35i would be creeped out. i think that evan rachel wood feels inadequate compared to the ex wife, so she has to imitate her.
36My ex's new girlfriend copied my look. I thought it was funny but felt bad for her, in a way. We had completely different body types and instead of wearing things that played up her strong points, she was choosing things that I'd picked to suit me. It didn't look good on her and for all her effort, she wasn't able to hold his interest.
37I don't really think I have that great of style, to be honest. My friend bought a shirt I have in a different color, and it didn't make a difference. It's a cute designer out of SF so I gave her the name. Just seems silly to get all worked up over something like that.
38It really depends on who it is and under what situation.
39I agree with party...it depends, my sister copying me is awesome but I have a really annoying friend that copies EVERYTHING! From getting the same cell phone, to putting the same song on her myspace, to getting a tattoo similar to the one I told her I want to get...it gets so old! Get your own personality!
40I absolutely hate when people copy me. I don't take it as a compliment.
41i think if it's something thats trendy at the time you really can't get upset w/ it. With evan rachael & DVT it somewhat seems that she is trying to emulate her. again she is young and she could be impressionable. maybe marilyn manson is pulling the puppet strings on this one.
42It's flattering. I understand the annoyance factor, but I know the original is better anyways, so why hate?
43I find it completely annoying, I absolutely hate when people copy me!!! I think of it like this, "I can be copied but never duplicated".
44Annoyed if it was my ex's current gf. If it was someone that I never knew, I might be okay w/ it however I feel like people should be themselves.
45It is mostly annoying, but if it was my ex-husbands current twinky it would be laughable. It is so pathetic that Evan Rachel Wood feels like she has to copy the very distinct style of her creepy boyfriend's ex-wife. It is as if he chucked Dita and got himself a little girl Dita-clone.
46for me, it depends. If someone copies one thing, im usually ok with that. Im ok with someone liking something I have and getting the same thing (a jacket, pair of shoes, lip gloss, who cares). But when someone copies an overall style and goes to great lengths to copy what I wear in terms of clothes, shoes, AND makeup, thats annoying. Its ok if people are themselves and that person happens to like something I have, but to try and replicate someone overall is obnoxious.
47I think it's flattering!
It's not like I'm in high school anymore...who
cares?!?! No one can be me, but they can sure try!
48Evan Rachel Wood looks extremely desperate because obviously this is Dita's look and always has been. It makes me laugh!
49I don't really care what other people do, but the whole ERW copying Dita thing is just... weird.
