In a recent SNL appearance, Scarlett Johansson was singing the praises of porcelain fountains, complete with pouffy hair and shiny makeup. And at Moet & Chandon's Tribute to Cinema early today in Tokyo, we saw her once again wearing some pouffy hair and shiny makeup — but this time, it had a more polished perspective.
We've seen Scarlett in minimal makeup, and we've seen her heavily done up, but when it comes to her sweet and smoky palette from earlier today, do you think the look has just the right amount of oomph factor, with the balance of pinks and charcoal grays, or is it just too overwhelming?

I think it's very pretty. My only complaint is that the foundation seems a little dark for her.
1I am on the fence. While I like the smokey look, it does look a little too heavy on the bottom, if they lightened it up a tad, it would be better. The blush really gets to me, too. I like the shade and all, just not paired with such heavy eye makeup. She doesn't look bad, but it is slightly reminiscent of girls trying too hard in high school. Even some of my students go pretty heavy with the makeup (especially eyes).
If I think a heavy eye is paired better with a minimal of everything else. If you have a lighter eye you can get away with more of other things (in my opinion, of course).
2She looks great.
3I like the eye but feel she should have toned down the blush and lips. There's just too much going on - I don't know where to look.
4I think the eyes are wayy too dark for her and the blush could've used less strokes.
I really like her lip color.
5She's still pretty, but I prefer less make-up
6Makes her look older.
7I agree w/ Houston.
8She looks about +10 years older
I like it...
9I think it's the blush that's bugging me. I love her eyes and the lip color is great but maybe the blush and the lightening that is going on, on the top of her cheeks is bothering. She does look good, but a bit too heavy.
10I'm just not diggin' it. Independently, I'd like it all. But the lips with the blush and the dark eyes is just too much. Scarlett has such distinct features (big lips, bright eyes, button nose) that when she emphasizes them all, she looks overdone.
11She looks very good. I think the make-up is flattering.
Her eyes remind of my cat's eyes. They're beautiful.
12too much blush
13I love the juxtaposition of the dramatic eye with the sweet-colored lip, and I think she looks beautiful (I still can't stand her); but it's just a little too much eye. Of course, she looks the most beautiful with minimal makeup, but there's no shame in trying different things and I don't think this makes her look bad or older or anything like that at all...
14i dont like it. looks messy. everything is off. the blush yuck. the lips yuck. the eyes yuck.
15I think the tiny little detail that is pushing it too far for me is the gray in the corners of her eyes and under her lids - I hate how so many makeup artists insist on those way too dark highlighters!
16but I love the foundation and the blush and the lips...
I reckon it's cute, but yeah, they could have left the blush out.
17I love it!
18waaaaay to much
19agreed with polkadots. too much!! don't like Scarlett anyway
20i like the eye makeup a lil heavy but i like it!!
