A few weeks ago I received a sample of Donna Karan Cashmere Mist Deodorant ($18), and I have to confess, since I'm so used to wearing your basic drugstore varieties, like Tom's of Maine or Secret, I have yet to try it out. It's not like I'm opposed to the fragrance, it's more that I'm unaccustomed to it and the shiny packaging it brings to the table. If you wear deodorant, are you all for the inexpensive drugstore varieties, or do you like fancier department store options?

Bottega Veneta
I just cant see spending 4 times as much when secret works.
1Why does this stuff exist? Isn't it enough to make fancy perfumes, why do our armpits need to smell that gaudy?
2I use antiperspirant. not deodorant
3I wouldn't be able to bring myself to using something so expensive on my armpits. Even though I do love Cashmere Mist, I'll stick to Lady Speedstick for the underarms!
4Ugh, I can't believe they make Angel deodorant. The patchouli/chocolate in that smells like dirty hair.
Sometimes I use LaVanilla deodorant, because in the winter I don't like to wear aluminum deodorants.
5Ha, I actually have the Donna Karan Cashmere one. It actually works really well. Normally, I wear a drugstore antiperspirant but use the Cashmere one instead of perfume when I'm going out since the smell is kind of over powering.
6if i had the money id wear it. but i dont and im fine with my 2$ secret deodorant
7No way, I like my deodorant very basic & clean, right now I am all about Dove deodorants.
8I've gotta say - Cashmere Mist works REALLY WELL as an anti-perspirant; better than the majority of drugstore brands. Worth the money if you don't have anything more important to spend it on.
9Angel STINKS. It's a fragrance where you either love it or hate it.
10Anyways, I'd rather pay $3 for an unscented deodorant and splurge on the perfume itself. It's how I indulge myself anyways.
I own the Cashmere Mist Donna Karan Deodorant and it is amazing. I cannot believe how dry it is keeping me. If drugstore deodorants work for you fine, but they do not keep me from sweating. It is a real problem and you would be willing to spend more if you had my problem. It is lifechanging for me. After hearing raves about this one, I caved and I do not regret it.
11Also a lot of deo sticks from drugstores smell too strong and there is not enough unscented ones. This smells great and will not clash with other fragrances.
