Feeling as tired, dull and dry as your skin looks? Don't worry, here's a quick and easy at home recipe to brighten your complexion and put the life back into your lackluster skin. All you'll need is some gram flour, turmeric powder, lime juice, olive oil and milk. Sounds easy enough, right? Here's what to do:

- Add one teaspoon of gram flour into a clean, medium sized mixing bowl. Gram flour is in the chickpea flour family and is a very popular ingredient for facial exfoliators in India and Pakistan.
- Next, add a pinch of turmeric powder to help disinfect and cleanse the skin without drying it out.
- Then, add in about four drops of fresh squeezed lime. Limes are packed with Vitamin C and AHA's. They help to lighten and brighten even the oiliest of skins.
- Next, drip a half teaspoon of olive oil into the bowl and slowly begin to emulsify the mixture. This will help moisturize the skin. Lastly, blend in a half teaspoon of whole milk to soothe and calm your face.
- Stir the ingredients together and apply the mixture to your skin for half an hour or until your face starts feeling a little dry. Then wash your face first with warm water and then with cold water. For more DIY Spa Treatments, click here.

2so...can you use soy milk???
ah! this sounds so good! i have no idea what turmeric powder is... haha!
3Ditorres, I'm sure you can use soy milk, but it might give slightly different results. Cow milk has lactic acid, which is an AHA — while soy milk doesn't. But if you are vegan, you could give the soy milk a whirl!
4Mmm....I'm sure this is really good for your skin!
5I don't have any of this stuff. I heard that some supermodel uses kitty litter for a scrub. Now THAT I have!!
6LOL angiedor, scrub away and then give us a review!
7I actually have turmeric as I do quite a bit of vegetarian East Indian cooking so I'm going to try this mask. I have oily skin so maybe that lime will zap the oil. I'll report back.
Can't wait to try this...
8Will definitely give it a try!

10im an esthetician and this seems like a good receipe but just make sure you really wash it off because of the milk it can actually cause pimples/irritation of the skin if the milk residue is left on the skin to long. I cant wait to try it
11Chickpea flour is amazing! It removes all the excess oil on your skin and leaves it so smooth!!! This mask is very close to what my mother, grandmother, and so on used to bathe with every day of their lives
Careful with the turmeric powder though, even a little bit more than a pinch can turn your skin a nasty yellow colour that is hard to wash off :\...
12Have tried this twice - and it's great. The next day, my skin glows, even in the horrible florescent bathroom lighting at work. Got my housemates to try it, too and they love it.
13You're right, it's very common in Eastern families; I'm Indonesian, and my mom used to scrub this all over me when I was little, but we soon found out that I am HUGELY allergic to gram flour; my whole body breaks out in painful hives.
Bottom line? Make SURE you test it out first on a small patch of skin!
14ooh sounds great! If only i had all of these ingredients! I'll have to make my way to whole foods and pick up some of this stuff!
15Gotta try this!
16I would love to try some of these DIY projects as we all know money is tiht right now. I was just wondering where I would find gram flour? Could nayone help me wih this. Thank you.
