Vaseline is about to come out with two additions to its Cocoa Butter line of lotions, and one of them is now on my repeat-buy list. I was able to sample its Cocoa Butter Smoothing Body Butter ($6.99), which will be available in stores any day now. It features a blend of cocoa and shea butters, which gives off a light and pleasant fragrance. For some reason, the scent reminds me of tropical beaches—which isn't a bad thing at all!
Like other body butters, it has a smooth texture and melts from the heat of your body. Unlike some other ones, though, this one doesn't feel greasy. I liked how easily it absorbed into my skin, and more importantly, how little of it is needed to get the job done. I definitely recommend using less product than you think you might need. You really don't need more than about a fingertip's worth to cover an entire leg, which means one eight-ounce container will last for a long time. If you have very dry, difficult-to-moisturize skin, try this out and let me know what you think. I have a feeling you're going to like it.

I just bought the body lotion version of this awesome product and I absolutely love it. The smell is very reminiscent of Hawaiian Tropic oil, and it moisturizes really well without that icky greasy, tacky feeling a lot of lotions leave. Can't beat the price either. They also have a body oil gel in this line, which I sampled and it's awesome. I'm a product junkie, and this lotion is one the top of my list and will definitely be a repeat purchase for me! Give it a try!
15I'm a huge fan of body butters. My skin tends to be dry. I swear by Body Shop Body Butters, but they are a little more pricey that this. I give it a try.
16i have tried this in lotion and its ok... soo im sure this would be ok too.. i have super sensitive skin so i have to be really careful... and i personally like palmers coco butter better.. and it smells more like chocolate and keeps your skin soft for longer.. at least i think!

19A brand name like Vaseline can be nothing but good and def less expensive than some of the wannabe body butters out there.

25Just stay away from the new cocoa butter gel they have! I used a tiny bit and it left me feeling like a greasy sticky french fry all day!
26I first tried the cocoa butter lotion at a friends when I wanted to lotion up my hands and it was great so I bought a bottle for myself ($6.99 for a HUGE bottle - great value! much better than the $8.99 I spent on a signifigantly smaller bottle of Burt's Bees Milk & Honey lotion). Can't wait to try the body butter!

30Love the Vaseline cocoa butter lotion--it's my favorite lotion for winter dry skin and it smells great--kind of like cookies.
31I can't believe how many die-hard Vaseline fans there are! Their key ingredient is PETROLEUM. I'll be happy to stick with pure, natural cocoa butter!
32this works very well. i don't like the smell though. i don't know if i bought a bad one or what, but it isn't all that cocoa buttery at all.
