Acne does not discriminate, now does it? I envy my friends who have the clearest, naturally pimple-free skin, wondering when I'm going to eventually be rid of my chin and jawline acne. Luckily, the majority of us don't have the paparazzi following us around to catch us, spots and all. Even celebrities get zits, and they've got something to say about it. Can you guess who said what about their own skin problems?
Question 1 of 6
"You can say acne is a small thing, but if you have it, it's not. It's humiliating. It changes you. You want to retreat and hide out." Who said it?

Calvin Klein
Maison Martin Margiela
Marithe' F. Girbaud
6/6 I remember seeing the Jessica simpson and Alyssa Milano ads for proactiv.
1When I quit smoking 3 months ago, my skin immediately went crazy and I broke out like CRAZY. I cancelled dates, didn't attend parties, and basically was a recluse. Nothing would help it. I spent hundreds of dollars at a derm and was getting facials regularly. My doctor said that it was all the toxins coming out of my body. I don't know if that's true, but as time has gone on, its finally stopped.
2I guess I'm lucky, I've never really had a pimple or acne. I get the occassional hormonal pimple along my hairline right before my period but that's easy to hide.
3I have heard the same thing, Briandiesel. I've had friends who have also quit, and while their skin reacted badly at first, eventually it cleared up.
4Yah Bella, it does make sense and its definitely worth it in the long run of course. But it was definitely not too awesome having bad skin in the summer.
5I quit drinking soda and coffee and my skin is better than it's ever been. I MISS coffee (less so soda) but I'm too vain about my skin to miss it that much.
6I don't think there is any amount of makeup that could hide my hormonal jawline/chin acne. My skin cleared up btwn ages 18-26 - until my daughter was born. I now have what I un-affectionately call my "beard of zits." It has been absolutely devastating to my self-esteem.
7I have such difficultly with acne as well, it's so frustrating. I'll go through periods of time where it is somewhat okay with my skincare regime, and other times it doesn't matter what I do to my face. Argh!
8sparkleluvr: yeah I get the same thing, sometimes it actually gets to the point when the less I do to my skin, the better (well, the "less worst" as I call it) it is :s It's just so frustrating =(

10blah everyone gets a pimple in their lifetime..lol..proactive sux and dries ur skin out..(tried it myself when i was in my teens)...the only thing that actually works is "dermadoctor 'ain't misbehaving' serum)...only apply to the pimple not the whole face and its gone within like 2days..make sure u use a light moisturizer..i love the all natural "rare minerals by bare escentuals"...natural products are less harsh on ur skin.
11o and u have to pop the pimple to get that oil n junk out of it or its gonna be there for a long time. wash ur face with a fragrance free "purity by philosophy" face wash its gentle and non drying
12I tried ProActiv once and had an allergic reaction
Ended up going to a derm who told me the
chemicals in it were too harsh.
