Most of you said you're tired of celebrity fragrances, and, well, I'm feeling overwhelmed by them, too. While some, like Covet by Sarah Jessica Parker, are created with a lot of input from the star in question, others seem to be patched together with little or no input. I could be way off-base here, but I have a feeling Britney's new fragrance, Believe, falls into the latter category. Considering her odd behavior this year, I find it hard to, er, believe, that she's had the time to be deeply involved in Believe's development.
Still, the scent is expected to do at least $10 million in US sales during its first year, and WWD reports on its fragrant notes:
The scent, by International Flavors and Fragrances, has top notes of guava pulp and golden tangerine; a heart of honeysuckle and linden blossom, and a drydown of patchouli aura, sensual amber and pink pralines.
WWD says that Believe is "arguably the most sophisticated" of Britney's fragrances, but those notes sound pretty sugary and young to me. And the packaging, while more grown-up than the looks of Curious and Fantasy, is still more girly than womanly. Believe ($38–$58) launches in October, but if you pre-order online, yours will ship earlier.

1I dont care if it is from Britney I love Fantasy
2what the eff is a pink praline?
they done made that up.
3Purselova418, I feel the same. i am not a fan of Britney, but man I love Fantasy!
4love the packaging....but pink praline def. sounds made up.
5Who's the cute model?
6pink praline is real btw - just googled it.
7That bottle is pretty...yeah I gotta say Fantasy does smell good.
8cute bottle!
9i love the bottle and i also love fantasy!! haha.. i think i will have to give this one a smell and see whats up!
10I like patchouli and amber. I'm not going to knock it until I've tried it.
11I do like the bottle. I own Curious (although it was a gift, not a purchase) and I wear it sometimes. Unless it's Paris Hilton (I won't buy anything associated with her), I don't base fragrances off the celebrity.
12Hey krampalicious,
I agree... I think pink pralines are pink sugar coated almonds. Can't imagine it would lend much smell to a perfume. So sounds like made up perfume speak to me.
Love the bottle though.
13ew. i hate celeb fragrences even though sometimes i use fantasy. i love brit but smelling like her? ew!! i'll just stick to bath and body works japanese cherry blossom or miss dior perfume thanks.
14Is a pink praline like what I eat for dessert at Mexican restaurants?
15Strangely enough, Paris Hilton's perfume is a sweet, gentle scent. I find the two perfumes Britney currently has out to be cloying, overbearing, and generally nauseating. Maybe this one will be better...?
16The britney spear fragences are a bit much, but Paris' is very nice. I like the smell of Brit's lines, but I think they just need to tone it down. Hopefully this one is better. I will definitely purchase it though, just to add it to my collection.
17You couldn't pay me to wear anything with that waste-product's name on it.
18'curious' is a bit too generic, and 'fantasy' is waaayyy too sweet, lets hope that 'believe' is better than those two. however, aren't celebrity scents suppose to reflect the endorser?!?!? is britney a.. "believer" hahaha whatever
19I'd have to try it but I don't wear her fragrances. Still one of my favorites is Clinique Happy and that's kinda citrusy too.
20i like that look a lot
