Greetings from New York Fashion Week, everyone! The shows officially started this morning, but a few designers went ahead of the crowd and showed last night. You should have seen Fab at last night's Josh Goot show—she is just crazy for his dresses.
While Fab made notes on the clothes, I was eyeing the slicked-back hair and low-key makeup. Stylist Alan White for Goldwell wrapped tight ponytails with silver, and MAC makeup artist Philippe Chansel gave the models matte, natural faces. (He used Micronized Airbrush Foundation without the airbrush, and MAC Lip Erase to take down the lip color.) But what really got me excited was the soft silver powder on the backs of the models' necks—totally unexpected and absolutely fitting for Goot's modern-girl dresses. What do you think of it?

I love the concept, but I do not find this particular model very attractive, so it leaves me with a bad first impression...
pony tails and a fresh face are never out of style. i do agree about the model though, something not quite working.
I agree with the above comments, the model leaves alot to be desired. Is that baby powder on the neck of the first model?
It looks to harsh.
The model is a bit drab.
I do love ponytails though!
I love this idea! I must be a trendsetter, because I pull my hair back and go out with little to no make-up all the time!!
One thing don't like is the powder on the neck...looks like a fungal growth of some sort.
the model looks awful like this so i am hating it. might be better on someone else?
I like it lots!
I like when the natural beauty comes into play during fashion shows.
Love the hair...I've been pulling my hair back into a low pony tail. Silver rear necks, very geisha.
Not a big fan of tight ponytails, but I like the natural faces. Not big on the silver neck at all!
she looks like some weird cyborg
love the look!:)Hate the model:(
hate the look. the model looks normal for fashion standards. i'm about looking natural but this is a bit pale. what is the point????
She's fugly, sorry! Her face, ugh, her hair is sooo thin! This look would look good on a Victoria's Secret model, but not this chick.
The look wouldn't be so bad but the model doesn't have the face or the hair to pull it off.
Not a fan of tight, almost croydon facelift, ponytails.
I like it
I guess they wanted the clothes to be the main and only focus, but they could have least put a soft matte pink lipstick on the lips...an almost bare look!
YAWN.
these models were fug as all get out, too. it's a shame too, because so many of the dresses were tres adorable.
Don't like it at all...they look all lifeless.
I imagine the idea behind this look was to keep the focus on the clothes, not the faces. I didn't find it appealing at all, but it did get the job done.
I like it too
I think the problem is that in this tight tail her hair looks dirty/greasy. And maybe a light foundation like a mineral one would help her skin glow. And finally the tail looks undone, it should have been styled a little bit.
This particular shot looks unhealthy and greasy. I think it could be done in a cool way.
she looks like she makes methamphetamine in a trailer somewhere.
I personally think that this is way too harsh looking for my taste. If the top were looser and the tail had some wave to it then it would probably be cute.
Call me crazy but I really don't see the point, be it practical or esthetical, of powdering the back of your neck.
The model does leave a lot to be desired... don't care for the look either..
great look - if you're 19!
the concept is really awesome, i think her ponytail is so tight, she has tiny little horns popping on her forehead. i love the natural look though!
Fresh, natural faces are great, but the tight ponytail is not. A looser one would carry the natural look better...
Oh, forgot to mention how silly the powder on the back of the neck is. Dandruff gone wild?
Sorry...what was the question? I just can't take my eyes off the thing on the model's neck! Bruise? Birth mark? Hickey? What?
That style of hair really accentuates skinniness, and I have always liked it for that.
yes and how else should one look for a workout?
