Zoot alors! My favorite foundation brush recently bit the dust. After searching through the Product Reviews pages, I think I might just have to give Estée Lauder Foundation Brush 1F ($30) a try. Reader brandysbug had nothing but positive things to say about this makeup brush, and here's why:
When I purchased this brush, it was a huge splurge for me. I just don't usually drop $30 on something like a brush, but I was pregnant, having major acne problems, was totally into the Estée Lauder Resilience Lift makeup line, and the saleslady talked me right into it. For liquid foundation, this is absolutely a wonderful brush. It helps to get the most from your bottle as it provides better coverage with less makeup than possible with other methods (sponge/fingers). This brush definitely helped me out covering up some very bad acne. It provided the full coverage I needed without piling too much makeup on. The results of using this brush with liquid foundation were astounding. My face almost looked airbrushed. I would recommend this to anyone who is considering buying a new foundation brush. It's worth the $30.

I bought Lancome's version of this brush and couldn't agree more on what an amazing difference it makes. I mix my liquid foundation on my hand with lotion, then apply to my face with this brush. Afterward, if I need more coverage, I apply a bit more foundation and it looks flawless. Never any lines! Another perk, I've had this brush for about 3 years now and it still looks and works like it's brand new. Definitely worth the money!
1i've been looking for a good foundation brush for a while now. maybe i'll check this one (or the lancome one) out!
2I seriously wish it wasn't $30. I'll try a drugstore brush first...just to see if I even like using a brush for this.
3I couldn't agree more about this foundation brush! It is well worth the $30 price tag.
I am an avid fan/user of Bare Escentuals, but when it started settling into my fine lines, I found this brush to "buff" the powder foundation out of my forehead and under eye lines. As the reviewer said, it works well with liquid foundation (if I need more coverage than BE can offer, I will use a tinted moisturizer under the powder foundation) and also mineral makeup.
The only drawback to the brush is the handle, which is very long for a makeup brush. The long handle makes it a little difficult to pack in the smaller cosmetics bags when going on vacation.
4Hoo boy I wish I had 30 bucks to spend on a single brush.
My $13 Revlon foundation brush
hasn't failed me yet~ but this is definitely on my wishlist.
Sounds nice.
5definitely agree about this brush too!! it works great with my tinted moisturizer. i used to use a sephora one, and this a thousand times better.
6have any of you tried out the brushes by e.l.f? I heard they were really good and only a dollar.
