I've already told you about No!No! ($250), a new and painless hair-removal device that's making its U.S. debut at Sephora. Well, I was able to try out No!No!, and I think you'll like what it does.
First, it's important to understand that No!No! promises measurable, but not miraculous, results. With continued use, it will eliminate about 65% of body hair. It won't do it overnight, however; you need to be committed to using the device two or three times a week for at least eight weeks. After that time, you should see much less regrowth, and the hair that is there will not be as obvious. I've only been using mine for two weeks, but I'm already noticing a difference. To find out what it's done so far, read more
No!No! works by using Thermicon technology, which uses thermodynamic pulses of heat to dissolve the hair follicle. To use the device, you plug it in, insert a wire gadget appropriate to your hair length, and run it along your skin at a 90-degree angle. A green light at the top of No!No! helps you know if you're doing it right. When you are, it's steadily green. When the light flickers, you're not at the right angle.
No!No! claims to be pain-free, and guess what? It is. There might be a slight sensation of warmth, but it's not even vaguely uncomfortable. One thing I wasn't expecting, though, was the smell. As the hair follicles get zapped, they smell like, well, burning hair. It's not the best odor, but I found that after the initial session, I was zapping stubble—so with shorter hair, the stink is minimized.
As I said earlier, I'm only two weeks into my No!No! adventure, but I'm starting to see a difference. Maybe it's just the placebo effect, but I feel like I can go an extra day or two without shaving, simply because the hair doesn't seem to grow back as fast. (I'm shaving while using No!No! just so I am not a hirsute leggy lady.) The initial results are promising, and I'm going to stick with the program.
Now, I know the price is off-putting to a lot of you. It is to me, too (I was given a test unit to review). Two hundred and fifty dollars is a lot of money, but depending on how important hair removal is to you, it may be worth it. It's a lot less expensive than laser treatments, and it's much cheaper than getting your legs or bikini area waxed every month for a year. That said, it's also more expensive than kicking the Bic. I will say, though, that if you have stubborn body hair—such as thick arm hair—or if you just don't want to mess with shaving anymore, you'll want to say yes, yes to No!No!

I've heard about this & was wondering how well it worked. Glad it's working so far for you! I want to try too, but man.. it's expensive!
1I've been thinking about getting my armpits lasered, and this is much cheaper than that. I'm going to be really looking into this one. Thanks for the review.
2Wow, this sounds a little freaky to use, but I'm really interested now that you had such noticeable results.
3I saw this in a magazine recently (something like Instyle or something)...and I was wondering if it actually worked. Keep us updated! I might actually buy it if it does...I'd LOVE to minimize my shaving time!!!!
4i think $250 is a little expensive, but if you're going to get lasered, it's definitely a cheaper option. I hope you update us after you've really used it for the 8 weeks.
5I'll certainly update all of you after I finish the eight-week mark.
6thanks for the review. i've been seeing this on the sephora website & was wondering how it was. keep us updated!
7I can't wait til the 8 week update. Even though 250 is a lot of dough, I'd be willing to spend it, because I would just love to minimize shaving time, I really hate shaving all the time it's so annoying that I sometimes wish I was a boy or that I lived in France.
8can this be used on the bikini line? this is the one area i would love to not have to shave ever again!!!
9Amen, cg! I was thinking the same thing.
Also, Bella...Any problems with ingrown hairs or anything?
10Hmmm...I bought it and have used it twice and wasn't so impressed. I had the mind set of hair removal with this device and it really isn't that. It does burn the hairs off (and theoretically do something to the root) but it isn't a smooth effect. Some areas are just tough - my ankles, for example. It's hard to keep the right angle and pressure going. I'm staying with it to see if it does reduce regrowth but I haven't used it enough to notice a difference. I will agree though, that it doesn't hurt at all, which is good. But the smell is pretty icky.
I'll give it a few more weeks and, if I'm still unimpressed, I'll return it.
11Bella, I'm curious to know how or if it works on the underarms. I'm thinking about getting laser or electrolysis for that & the bikini line.
12Considering how much money and pain I have spent on laser hair removal (I would still totally recommend it), this is just a drop in the bucket! I can't wait to hear more results, I might have to get one (my hair is starting to grow back in from my laser treatments)
13Does Sephora allow you to test try the product at the store? I have really sensitive skin and I want to make sure I can handle it before putting down that kind of money…
14i can't wait to read your review after 8 weeks. then i can decide if it's worth the investment. thanks bella!
15i have the same questions as a few of these ladies...does it work for the bikini line and the underarms as well? If so, this might be a better alternative to laser treatments.
16Bella - definitely keep us posted on this! I think it could be really worth it. I get such bad razor burn. I really need something
17Yeah laser smells like that too, especially when they do your upper lip, ugh.
Well definitely let us know! If it turns out you like it I'm getting one. I've had a few laser sessions (and for hose who are wondering it does work) but I'm too chicken to finish because it hurts sooo much. I've been using an epilator in between waxings. Wow I basically live with pain.
Here's one thing I do't get though: Supposedly it will eliinate 65% of hair if you use it twice a week? But for how long? I know it's different for everybody but what's the range? 8-10 weeks, that kind of thing?
18And if that's true, what happens if you use it for two years? Wouldn't you eventually be hairless?
Wow...$250...that is not small change...though if it really works it would be worth it...keep us updated...you might just create a rush at Sephora...lol...
19Can you use it on your upper lip?
20I can't wait to hear the end results - I'm fascinated by this thing.
21I really REALLY want to try this. I might just have to save up my pay checks!
22Ladies, try splitting the cost among your fellow gal pals. You guys take turns using it for the 8 weeks and then pass it on to the next girl. Draw random names to see who gets to use it first etc. That way it's not so expensive! It doesn't stop working after a certain number of uses does it? Would it be unsanitary? Even if you only share with one friend, that brings your cost down to $125, which isn't quite as painful.
23I loved laser, but it was just too expensive to complete all of the treatments. I didn't even care about the pain factor, I just wanted to be free of shaving! Can't wait to see if this works, it's much less than laser.
24I've been thinking about trying this but was a little skeptical. After hearing your review, I just might have to go out and buy one!
25I definitely do want to hear the end result after 8 weeks. I'm with Angelica, this thing fascinates me too.
26well, i'm glad to hear the postive results you've had, but i think i'll wait until your 8th week update before i plop down that much cash. that being said...i'm sure my hubby would get it for me because after about three months he will have saved that much from my waxing bills.
27The NoNo! did not work for me AT ALL. It works on peach-fuzz type hair, but on my thicker leg and underarm hair - it was worthless. It went back to Sephora after the try out time... please don't waste your money. Also - the smell stuck on me for days - it was foul.
28Oh and by the way, the "heat blades" in it have to be replaced - they're expensive and have short life spans. Similar to replacing Zeno tips.
29Last comment - but no, the instructions say NOT to use anywhere but face and legs.
30
I want this!!! I hate shaving/waxing my hairy legs!!!
31it is expensive.. can more than 1 person use this thing???
so, thinking that sisters and cousins and friends could buy it together, to divide cost.
32It seems really cool.
33Thanks for the review. I'm really looking forward to hearing your final review at the post 8 week mark!!!
Does anyone know if you can use this while pregnant?
34i can't wait for the 8 week update!! i def want this...maybe i should start saving my money?
35Too expensive for me right now, but I'd love to have it. Of course, that is saying I'd be able to use it everywhere (bikini, arms (they're a bit manly), legs, underarms...). Then it might be worth it...

37jklimas, you can only use is on face and legs? Boo. That makes no sense to me. Why can't it be sued on arms and bikini lines? I was very excited about this product but now...not so much.
38im so glad that you reviewed this product - i was wondering about it myself. the thing about hair reduction is - why cant it be reduced to never growing back? or is that what it eventually does? and why cant it be used on underarms or bikini lines? oh, and is it ok to use on sensitive skin. i hate shaving - i always nick myself. and waxing is too painfull for me to do on my legs (i sugar wax my bikini) not to mention expensive....and nair and all those other products are smelly and dont work.....
39keep us posted!!!
and what is the try out period?
thanks jklimas for the information about using it only for face and legs. i think i might still be interested in it, i'll wait for more reviews.
40At first glance that price seems somewhat costly, but I guess compared with laser treatment, and the longterm costs of razors, it's quite good!
41thank bella, i'm exctied to try it after i read your review, i know the price is a little high but, i think it worth it
42this thing hurts like HELL! ajjajaja, i rather laser hair removal
i've done diff parts, and i'll tell ya... the lady that does it to me numbs it with ice packs and it doesnt hurt ... what hurts the most is the bikini area, but hell... its worth the pain
43I read online that people are really dissappointed with the results.
44http://fon.gs/no-no (automatic translation, sorry). Among several complaints from women that used it.
So, beware of this product.
This devise sounds interesting, but where can I find more information on how it exactly works and how effective it is compared to the other classical methods, wax for example?
45oh wow..this is exciting.
46i am getting married in about 10 weeks and would LOVE to use this thing and not have to worry about getting waxed! but can it really not be used on the bikini?
47Is it safe for dark skin women to use. I have really dark skin so im reluctant to use lasers
48If I had the money I'd buy it. Does it work on the bikini area?
49I will definitely stay tuned for the 8-week report. It is a hefty sum, but if it honestly does what it says it will do, I'm in.
