The holidays are all about amping it up, trying looks that aren't part of your everyday routine, and sequins, of course. Recently, while perusing holiday hair accessories, I came across this Sequin Top Hat Clip ($18) from Topshop. It has pearls. It has glitz. It's definitely got a whole lot of kitsch, and I could totally envision it being an appropriate New Year's Eve accessory. What do you think? Does this sparkly top hat have just the right amount of quirkiness, or is it simply too over the top?

6How big is the clip? If it was only small it would cute as part of a simple up-do. But if it's really big it'll just look awful.
7It's a little silly but I could see someone kitschy like Chloe Sevigny rocking it. I probably wouldn't wear it, but it doesn't inspire any negative physical reactions (haha; some people are extreme - really; it makes you want to barf? I know you're being hyperbolic but seriously)...
8Nope. If it was tiny it might work for some but I'd never wear it.
9I do think its ugly! It would take me a while to get it off if my hair gets stuck in the sequence. ..prob would get stuck!
