FabSugar received a pricey vial of Amatokin in one of her fashion week goodie bags, and I was immediately intrigued. It's a $173 wrinkle cream that talks about its ability to harness stem cells and create younger-looking skin. It doesn't actually contain stem cells; instead, according to the manufacturer, Amatokin "uses polypeptides and enzymes to 'awaken' the body's own reservoir of stem cells."
This sounds rather scientific, but the website looks unconvincing. So I did a little digging, and I found out that Amatokin is produced by the same people behind Strivectin, another "miracle" product. And the beauty editor who talks up the cream? Her website is owned by Amatokin's parent company. The research that allegedly proves Amatokin's effectiveness is confidential. The doctor who gives good quotes on Amatokin's website? She's a dietician, and guess who's signing her paychecks. And it goes on from there.
It all feels gimmicky, doesn't it? While I think the marketing of this cream is shady, I'm curious to see what Fab has to say about it. If it is indeed a miracle cream, you'll certainly hear about it—but my expectations aren't too high.

2The research looks shady (the company's, not yours, Bella). Definitely a conflict of interests, don't you think?
3If it was legit, you'd think they'd want to put that research out there (if it's scientifically based, out of a peer-reviewed medical/scientific journal) to help justify that kind of price tag.
This raised suspicions for me just with the headline that was posted here. I wouldn't buy the claims that they're selling.
4Hahahaha.... Wow, every industry capitalizes on the lack of their consumers knowledge. Unfortunate, but true. It's important for every lady to research big-ticket beauty items, such as this, unless you wipe your crack with $100s.

awaken stem cells- that is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Don't you think all those cancer researchers would have thought of that? Unbelievable that they are marketing this like this and for that much money. No way, no how is that at all accurate.
7I dont know about this cream or whatever in particular, but I've used that strivectin SD, and it worked so well, I was in tears.
