Skin dimples, cottage cheese or "cookie thighs" are nicknames for the trapped layer of fat and waste that are stuck inside the depths of your skin. We know it better, of course, as cellulite.
According to a recent article, Cellulite occurs when the band of connective tissue that contains healthy fat cells necessary to protect your muscles and organs get overloaded. Since the toxins and waste don't get properly emitted from your skin, they thicken, harden and create that uneven and lumpy texture.
Cellulite affects most women after puberty, and you don't have to be overweight to get it. It generally affects the stomach, glutes and thigh area on females and the neck and belly region on men. There is evidence linking the cause of cellulite to genetics, metabolism, lack of exercise, hormones and nutrition. It's harmless, approximately 90% of women have it, and so far there's no cream that eliminates it. So while you don't have to love it, you might as well live with it.

Yay!
The average woman is not a celebrity or a model. She can't photoshop or airbrush every picture of herself in a bikini, and she can't afford outrageously expensive (and unnecessary) cosmetic treatments or procedures to cover up all her imperfections.
This is what it means to be human, so stop fretting about it!
1Good Lord
2NSFW NSFW!
that and ....gross!
We all have it but i dont want to see other peoples craters.
There, I made the photo smaller.
3Cellulite sucks..wherever,whoever!
4it really does suck!! i work out like crazy! i know it doesn't get ride of it.. but havin the skin tighter does make it much less noticable!
5well said lily314
i always wonder wat secrets most celebrities hide under da expensive clothes n airbrushed pics
6Just think of it as your back up if a disaster happens and there isn't any food. Nature isn't stupid even if it's not that pretty.
7LOL My baby boy has dimples on his chubby behind so now I don't hate my dimples as much
we just match, and he is pretty much as close to perfect as you can get!
8Aww, romaniagrl, that's so cute! I love chubby babies.
9It's an unfortunate fact of life that so much of what marks a woman as mature, fully developed, and ripe for the plucking seems to be what popular fashion deems unacceptable: body hair, hips, butts, bellies, cellulite. A grown woman can't help these things from happening, but popular media tells us that having them are on par with kicking puppies. While boobs maintain their popularity, the look of boob jobs seems preferable as heaviness and the ski-slope are ditched for mathematically perfect spheres.
10i saw this, and the first thing i thought was, "hey! who took a picture of my butt without permission?!?"
11hahahaha mabess. your hilarious.
12oh god, i hate cellulite, really hate it!
13Drives me nuts when I see women without it- we should ALL have to deal with the "zebra marks" grrr!
14Oh wait, I meant stretch marks as the zebra marks- I get to deal with those as well...
15Screw genetics, because I work out often and am very careful about what I eat and still can't get rid of it! If I can't change it at 22, I'll never be able to. Grrr...
16Dry brushing, ladies.... dry brushing.
Try it! I promise it will reduce the cellulite. Get a natural bristle brush, and use it all over before you get in the shower. It stimulates circulation and opens up your pores, then the warm water helps even more to allow your body to rid itself of some of the toxins and the cellulite becomes less noticeable. When you get out of the shower, put some jojoba & rosemary oil all over... the rosemary is good for cirulation as well, and the jojoba oil is very moisturizing.
It's not a miracle or anything, it doesn't totally eradicate it like I would like it to, but it is definitely the only thing that has substantially worked for me.
Google it if you want more info. It's my best beauty secret!
You can thank me later! =P
17^ also gets rid of dead skin, forgot to mention that.
18If that's the secret then I need to get me to a Korean bath! Those little old ladies exfoliate the bejeesus outta you! It's been a while for me, and my skin was great afterwards, but I never thought to check out my tush afterwards!
19well it is not attractive, but i have a bit of it......
20I fine with it. I don't think its gross. I think all real women have some. Iv come to love it...
