That's not roots to me, that's a deliberate stripe that looks anything but "well heeled and fashionable".

It's okay as long as you don't dye your hair so many shades lighter than your natural hair color. This for instance, is a no-go for me!

I despise roots! That is why I stopped coloring my hair years ago--I dreed the day when I have to start again because of gray hair! Hopefully that will not be for a long time but until then this look grosses me out!

well i personally, like it. but that's just me. i like things that deviate from the norm. some may think it's 'tacky'..i think it's HOT.

Looks like clip-on extensions gone bad or a severe case of indecisiveness. "Snap! I forgot to leave my masking root thong at home!" I guess you can get away with most anything when you have money to look haute. I'd leave this look to the mag's and runway...too uninspired for me.

Here in Tokyo, blond is so obviously unnatural on most people that a bit of root doesn't matter. It's not a believable color even if the roots were just touched up yesterday. I'm so used to seeing hair like that (and not only on me) that I wouldn't have noticed if it wasn't pointed out.

tbh fashion is'nt always paticulaly street worthy, you would'nt wear a coat that resembles a muppet skin like they have on some catwalks down the street, just as you would'nt go out with your hair half colourd like that, it looks odd, and not v flattering, i thought fashion was about looking good?

Dang, I could have saved $140 today getting my 1/8th in of roots done! Why couldn't I have seen this article sooner?!?!?! ( I have my hair dyed blonde, so I go in every week and a half to 2 weeks.)

I think it can look really good, if you go all the way with it. It doesn't have to be a white trash look, depends on who wears it and how, and what clothes they wear and attitude/postiure.
