After learning about the many many first-aid and household uses for tea tree oil, I decided to do a little bit of research to see what kinds of beauty products exist with this ingredient. I found out that there are way too many to count, so I've decided to create a three-part series highlighting some of my favorite brands that use this fabulous essential oil in their hair, face and skin care products. Liz Earle Spot On Roller Ball (around $15) is an amazing treatment for blemishes bites and cuts. It's made from pure tea tree oil, melissa and lavender (it's got that really strong tea tree oil smell). I've been using it for about a week now on my pimples and it's been extremely effective in fighting off bacteria.
I love the easy roller-ball application, and it doesn't sting like many other spot treatments often do. Unfortunately right now it's only available in the UK, but—shh!—there are tons of gray markets online that will deliver overseas.

Body Shop Tea Tree Oil Face Mask ($14) is a fantastic weekly treatment to help draw out impurities that reside on the surface of your skin. It refines skin, absorbs excess oil, and deep cleans. Plus it's got a great, natural and invigorating scent.

I was so going to post a review about Desert Essence Facial Wash with Tea Tree Oil. I'm glad you wrote about this, Bella, because products like these does such a great job cleansing the skin and clearing up blemishes. The Desert Essence Facial Wash only costs $5 at Trader Joe's and cleans my face thoroughly and it feel so fresh and light. The scent is a little minty but not too bad at all. I use it twice a day. Also, their blemish stick works wonders. My sister had alot of acne blemishes and in one week, the results were pretty dramatic. I'd say the dark areas have be reduced by 50%, at least, and are much lighter to the appearance. The blemish stick also costs about $5 at TJ's. I just love this stuff, I'd recommend it to anyone!

3I absolutely LOVE the Body Shop's entire tea tree line! The mask is amazing on its own, and the feeling when you take it off is like no other... my skin is soft and smooth and best of all, it feels really clean. In conjunction with the face wash/toner/moisturisers/essential oil, the line has cleared my skin dramatically over the course of the past two months (mild acne - not terribly bad, but still not anything to be pleased with). I'm pretty sure that tea tree oil is actually some sort of liquid miracle potion...

That stuff is amazing though but can be a bit drying. Desert Essence does have a moisturizer though, just have to find it at a vitamin store. TJ's doesn't have it, unfortunately. They do have put Jojoba oil though, for about $6 and change and I need to buy that because I've read reviews that it works great as a moisturizer after the facial wash. It's also 100% vegan.

11For me nothing works better than pure essential tea tree oil. Put it on a Q-tip and dab it on the spot where you feel like you're about the get a MAJOR zit and almost overnight it gets rid of it! The only problem is it's quite drying, but as long as I make sure to intensively moisturize at the same time it's all good

14indielove- thanks for the heads up on Desert Essence. Just bought the blemish stick with my other things at drugstore.com. I checked for the moisturizer but they don't appear to carry that product. I am excited, because it got such great reviews!
15The Body Shop's Tea Tree Oil Blemish Fade Night Lotion is AHHHmazing! It fades any redness left by past blemishes and also helps fade scars.
16Indielove, I use Desert Essence as well. I also bought the little bottle of pure Tea Trea Oil and dab that directly on my zits (you're not supposed to use it full strength on the face, so I use a q-tip to place it just on the zit). I don't have a Trader Joes near me so I order my Desert Essence products from vitacost.com, they are cheaper than drugstore.com

19I love tea tree. Avalon Organics makes a great tea tree shampoo and conditioner. Also, Desert Essence has a bunch of tea tree oils and products. I love their tea tree mouthwash and dental floss!
20my favorite has always been Burts Bees Tea Tree Oil roller ball. Its about the same price and I've been using it since college. It also comes in a slightly different formula for troubled or sensitive skin.

Sadly, it made my skin much redder and angrier around the pimple, and I do not have sensitive skin.
Tea tree oil works only on smaller pimples, the kind that a dab of 5% or 10% benzoyl peroxide would've taken care of anyway.
And DO NOT put it on pimples that have been popped. Pain, pain, I tell you!
Other forums have suggested it's great for wounds. It might be better than nothing, but a regular antiseptic ointment is much better.
24They have a cheaper version of your roller ball tea tree oil on the spot treatment that i'm addicted to. its made by desert essence and its called a blemish stick. you can buy them online or at whole foods and trader joe's, they run around $6.

26I love these products. there is no other thing is as effective and useful for acne and other type of spot removal as tea tree oil. It is used in various field of health and skin care like weight loss and for re-pigmentation in skin like for the treatment of vitiligo. The reason I like Tea tree oil because of its pigmentation properties as it is indicated at http://www.vitiligoguide.com/ that vitiligo occurs due to the depigmentation in skin. And generally consider about vitiligo that it is a chronic skin condition, treatment of this condition is quite difficult and time taking process.
Tea tree oil made products are also very effective for sudden weight loss without any side effects.
