SJP can really pull off both hair colors, but blonde looks the best.

really sliver bonde looks gr8 on her because with her features its really striking

I like her better when she's not wearing those ridiculous SaTC outfits.

I liked her better with the blond-brown hair that she had when SATC first started, but she doesn't look bad in either color.

She's got such a light/fair complexion the dark hair really washes her out. To me it also elongates her face and those beautiful cheekbones of hers seem to be lost and to me it makes her look rather tired. Whereas I find her makeup as a blonde gives her a much more vibrant and energetic look. Could be due to the pictures chosen but I'm going with blonde.

I read elsewhere that the brunette hair was a wig. Either way, the rule is, when you get older, you go lighter. Had she stayed a brunette (her natural color), I would say she was fine as a brunette, but she has been blonde for so long that any other color does not look good on her.

Case in point, her commercial for Garnier Nutrisse where she has that ash brown hair. To me, it just looks like hair color on her head, not natural at all.

I thought she looked her best in the last season of SATC - it was brown but it had highlights. It really brought out her blue eyes.

And I think her best blonde was in the season where Big got married . . . it was crazy curly but not as long and ratty as it looks here. . . These are not good pics of her.

I'm surprised everyone is saying that she looks older as a brunette - maybe it's the fact that the picture of her as a blonde is angled? In general, I think that brown hair tends to be much more flattering when it comes to fine lines and blemishes. Blonde hair doesn't provide as much contrast, leading the eye exactly to those things that you want to hide. I think that the brown gives her a much softer, low-maintenence look. Whether that is right for her image is a whole different question!
