I know a lot of you love mineral makeup (and if you do, don't forget to enter this giant Bare Escentuals contest. As for me, I've had some mixed results. Mineral makeup sometimes makes me feel like I'm a little too "done." So I was excited to try Neutrogena Mineral Sheers Blush ($12.99), in hopes that this would be the product that pushed me onto the bandwagon.
One thing I like about this product is the all-in-one packaging. The container holds the blush and brush together, which saves time when you're in a rush to get ready. To release the brush, you slide a clear plastic sleeve down. Then, you flip the blush upside down and give it a little shake. (Because I am a dork, I kept thinking, "It's Shake and Bake. And I helped!")

At first, I got crabby because the blush didn't come out evenly. It was concentrated in one tiny spot, which left me with odd sweeps of color a la the Misfits (Jem, not Danzig). I tried again, this time shaking a few extra times and rubbing the brush in my hand. Ah, that's the ticket. The color then went on my cheeks evenly and sheerly, making it look like I had a rosy glow. Unlike a lot of blushes, these aren't shimmery, so they're ideal for those of you who like a more natural look.

Sounds great! I might have to invest in it
1I've wanted to check this product out - thanks for the review
2I use mineral makeup mostly but then on some days I just use a little concealer and call it a day. As far as blush I just use my regular old MAC blushes, the minerals ones have that awful shimmer and fade fast. (my opinion)
3I used their mineral foundation and hated it. The applicator made it go on uneven. It made me face feel greasy. I hated it so much I complained to Neutrogena about it (via their website) and they gave me a full refund.
4I don't like this product at all...I'm a fan of Neutrogena, I think it's one of the better drugstore names, but I hate the packaging of this and the color never comes out even. In general, I prefer tinted moisturizer and concealer over mineral makeup anyway.
5I have this in a bronzer, and I have to agree, it always goes on in streaks.
6Cool, I might try this.
7I also tried the foundation, but ended up throwing it out. The mineral powder foundations just don't work well on my oily complexion.
I also had to pour the entire thing into a powder box lid, so that I could use it more effectively. It was a bit aggravating, having to keep tapping the thing to get the powder to come out onto that brush!
8Love the Misfits references (we are the misfits, our songs are better..)
I can't do the mineral make-up. I don't know why, but it makes my face itch.
9Hmm I've been wondering about Neutrogena products..thanks for the review!
10Good to know! I've been thinking about trying this - just haven't gotten around to it. Next time I'm at the drugstore I'll have to pick it up.
11i've been waiting for some feedback about this blush lol...been hesitant about it for a while now
12i think ppl should try loreal and apply it with a good brush- no streaks!
13cool container
14I know this might sound retarded, but I LOVE make-up, but I've always been very hesitant about blushes. I'm not real sure which one would be good for me, I tend to use all sorts of make-up products (mind you not all at once you know) but I've never figured out a blush that I am happy with. I'm very pale but with a slight yellow undertone (versus a pink one) and have green eyes. Any suggestions?
15LOL - I hear ya Ejmcmis, I love make up too!
16i wanted to try this since Hayden Penetierre ( i think i butchered that name) is a spokesperson of Neutrogena products and used them at an award show and looked great. Now reading the reviews im not too sure i will be using it. Thanks!
17One thing to consider is how "mineral" they are. This brand's particular product puts their ingredients on the shrink wrap so you tear it off before you have a chance to read them, there are actually several toxic paraben preservatives inside.
