Long hair is eternally popular, but short hair deserves to get attention, too. It's a lot more versatile than most people think, and it can be really sexy because it's such a confident look.
But sometimes, it just isn't done right. I hate to say it, but Renée Zellweger needs to find a new stylist. Pronto. Take a look at her here in New York, where she taped a talk-show with Kelly Ripa and the Reege. This cut does nothing to flatter poor Renee, whose pretty face is overshadowed by a sloppy cut. Fortunately, hair grows, and in a couple of months, Renée could have a stunning, chic cropped bob.
As I said, I love short hair and think it's a fashion-forward and sexy look. But there are a few things to think about if you go short. First, know which cuts flatter your face shape. What looks good on one person might not work for another. I've written a guide to help you see which cuts work for various bone structures, so start there. Then, when you're choosing a stylist, be sure to find someone who has experience with precision cuts. I like Renee, and I like short hair, but not these this variety on her! I've never seen her looking worse, actually, which is sad because she has the ability to look really classic and pretty. I hope the growing out process goes well for her! (I've been there, it's never easy!)

5Maybe it's not so bad. These pics are horrible angles and she's in a trench coat and jeans - she could have just not made it to the hair and makeup people yet. I've got short hair (lot shorter than hers) and when it's not done in the morning it can look pretty scary - give her a break and wait till we see some real photos of her hair actually styled. So quick to judge, sheesh.
6No, she was on Oprah last week and there is just something ... wrong with her face. Too many injections or something, I don't know. But she looks off. Her mouth especially looks weird. The haircut is just the cherry on top of the whole strange sundae.
