For the second year in a row, Lancome has agreed to be the official makeup sponsor for all 19 shows during Dallas Fashion Week. And since poor Gucci Westman must be dog tired from traveling the globe for all of the various fashion weeks, Lancome’s National Artistic Director Ross Burton, pictured, will be there to create all of the looks.
In addition, Lancome has collaborated with a Dallas-based non-profit called The Fashionistas, which raises funds for the expansion of Fashion on Main, a Dallas fashion museum that houses special items from the Texas Fashion Collection.
Together, they have launched THE FASHIONISTAS Front Row Collection, a neutrals-based makeup line inspired by the Fall 2007 Oscar de la Renta show. While the colors in the collection can be purchased at most Lancome retailers, a portion of the proceeds from items sold at NorthPark Lancome Boutique will be donated to THE FASHIONISTAS Fashion Museum Fund. Also, if you purchase the entire collection there, you will receive The Fashionistas “IT” cosmetic trunk: a black patent makeup case lined with black-and-white animal print and adorned with Eiffel Tower charms.

1This is a good cause? "...Fashion on Main, a Dallas fashion museum that houses special items from the Texas Fashion Collection." Yikes. How very "Giant".
2Love Lancome, one of my best friends is a traveling makeup artist for them
3Nice! The Oscar show was my favorite of fashion week with that singing choir. I love that lancome is working with them
4I wish I had an artist... then I would have to worry about not knowing a thing about makeup, brushes or how to use any of it!
5*WOULD NOT
6not really sure how that is a charity...but i can say one thing and one thing only. at bergdorf goodman (and perhaps other stores, i dont know) if you buy 3 lancome products, you get a free eyebrow grooming (yes, wax and tweeze..all that jazz) with their eyebrow designer. i bought the peter som lipstick and some other things -- while they were having a real gift (aka, a gorgeous makeup bag filled with 4 different eyeshadows, a full size lipstick, a mini mascara primer, mini mascara, their face serum, moisturzer, and eye cream.) and my eyebrows never looked better...
7It's not my favorite brand, but I do like some Lancome products...especially the Juicy Tubes. And their waterproof eyeliners are great too.
8*blinks in disbelief* There's a Dallas Fashion Week? I need to get myself over there one of these days. And that museum sounds cool too!
9I prefer Ross' looks to Gucci's anyway... she's a bit too bland for me.
10I am still seriously sad that I had to work (Army, can't take the day off) when Ross Burton was in Portland, OR last month :'( That was the week after I got my makeup done by a Chanel beaute' artiste, but STILL.
ROSS BURTON!!!
For those of you that like Juicy Tubes but want a little extra kick for going out or whatever else, try their Color Fever glosses.
11Hot Number looks really scary in the tube but it goes on a sheer, sparkly pink that lets your natural lip show through as well. It's AWESOME by itself or over lipstick.
