Launched earlier this year, Aveda's latest skin care collection is called Outer Peace. This four-step skin care line uses modern Ayurvedic botanicals to achieve balanced, clear skin. Some key ingredients in these products include salicylic acid, the anti-irritant saw palmetto, ambla (a popular Ayurvedic berry that helps heal) and a blend of organic essential oils such as lemon, tea tree and rose geranium.

- STEP 1: Outer Peace Foaming Cleanser ($24) is a mild cleanser. Use morning and night.
- STEP 2: Outer Peace Anti Blemish Relief Pads ($30) are gentle exfoliating pads. Think of them like a grown-up version of Clearasil pads. While they similarly provide a post-cleansing punch to blackheads, they don't sting. Plus, they smell slightly woodsy and fresh.
- STEP 3: Outer Peace Spot Relief ($28) is a spot treatment that can be dabbed on pimples.
- STEP 4: Outer Peace Anti Blemish Relief Lotion ($38) is a lightweight lotion that helps to clear blemishes, control oil and minimize the appearance of pores.

Hmmm not sure about this one...
1Aveda's products are so nice and always smell heavenly!
2I can't wait to try. I always like the scent of Aveda's products, too.I just hope the blemish fighting ingredients aren't too harsh.
3I'm with klovie. I'd love to find a spot treatment that isn't so drying..
4Skin products!
5Nice, I will have to check this out
I haven't tried the spot treatment, but one thing that I've been doing lately is using a pointed concealer brush (Sephora has one on clearance for, like, $7—but I bet Target has something similar) and using it to dab spot treatment on the blemish only. That way, the surrounding skin doesn't get dry and flaky.
Right now I'm using Leaf & Rusher's spot treatment. It's pricey (I received it as a gift) but it works well. I do have the Aveda Outer Peace pads, though, and they're surprisingly gentle. Plus, they do smell great—not medicinal at all.
6ooh, that's a good tip about using a pointed concealer brush!
7i LOVE this line. within just a few weeks i saw a major difference in my face. it is not drying at all which is a major plus. and the smell is great too. but it didnt work at all for my friend. BUT you can return aveda products if they dont work for you, so you really cant go wrong.
8I only buy Aveda products. Shampoo, lotion, you name it, I have used it. I absolutely love this stuff, though!!! It really works!
9love the product
10Does anyone know what the active ingredient in the Anti-blemish Relief Lotion is?
I'm excited to try this, Aveda products always smell like indulgence =)
