Rounded, whether they're short or long. Square doesn't look good on me and pointed is scary.

I like rounded, looks for natural on me and it doesn't break as easily. I have really brittle nails (they peel all the time) so the less breakage the better!

Rounded, it's so much more natural-looking. It drives me nuts when manicurists try to file my nails into a square shape, I always tell them no way!

Square and short, it's just so practical. But rounded is also very pretty.

I love rounded but now that my nails are weaker I might leave them shorter, to follow the trend, lol. Still, longer look better with my short fingers.

I didn't know square nails are a trend. I was always taught to shape them based on what they look like at the cuticle... I have square cuticles so I get my nails square shaped. They look normal to me this way, and I love a good square French manicure.

My nails are always cut short so it's naturally "rounded" by default. I don't like to grow out my nails because I'm always either on the computer or cooking; I can't type with long nails and I don't like the extra step of having to scrub my nails to make sure I get everything from underneath there after I cook. Plus, I like dark polish and it's scary to have long nails and dark red or black polish.

I go square always have. I didn't know it was trend until I rea another one of these beauty polls. I think square looks natural to me since my nails don't grow out rounded they grow straight from my nail bed and I would have to saw on them to get them rounded. Pointy is scary to me but I know some people who like them. I haven't really been growing my nails that long but I'm getting married in a few months and I decided to go it on my own instead of getting acrylics this time

Im with babygirl on this one. I like a rounded square, flat across with rounded corners. I read somewhere that your ideal shape is the mirror image of your cuticle.

Pointy is gross!!! I believe the technical term for my shape is squoval. =) Square but with rounded edges.

I keep mines square but not quite as sharp as in the picture, kind of "Squoval" like daisie said.

i've never had my nails done, but mine definitely do the "squoval" naturally. i'd never heard that word - funny!

My nails kind of naturally grow square, so I find that they break less easily if I keep them that way.

My nails also grow square and my fingers would look fat if they were rounded.

I think rounded looks more polished and pretty, but when I file my nails myself, my rounded always gets uneven. So when I have them done, I go for rounded and when I do them myself I go for squoval.
