I hereby nominate PrincessTracy as the TeamSugar guru of dark red nail polish. For this Beauty Mark It challenge, she scoured the Web to find 25 different options, from drugstore bargains to luxe lacquers. (Did you know that Joan Rivers has her own nail polish line?)
Of course, there were lots of other great suggestions. After reading Daydreamer's opinion of OPI St. Petersburgundy, I'm adding that color to my shopping list. 15i'm wearing a deep red polish right now. it's new for me and i'm really liking it. i tried sephora's L11 but it took me a few coats to get it dark. i should try opi's "i'm not a waitress" since you all seem to love it

20OPI's "I'm Not Really a Waitress" is my go-to-shade for the holidays! So pretty and just the right amount of shimmer.
21I'm not buying anymore nail polish until I make sure it's free of this chemical called phtalates. I just learned that a lot of beauty companies put this chemical in their nail polish, and apparently the stuff is really bad for you and can cause birth defects, etc. if you wanna read up on this or any beauty product's safety, go to Skin Deep, cosmeticsdatabase.com. some freaky stuff you'll learn there. Since the FDA isn't required to test beauty products first, people that make cosmetics can put just about anything into their products, and they do. I'm just now learning this and feel compelled to spread the word. some of the best top designer brands can be some of the most questionable.

23I love them all! Think you can do one for deep red lips, like on the Fall 2007 Gucci runway? There's that amazing photo of a blonde model (Stam?) with Veronica Lake waves and really rich, deep red lips that I love, but I haven't found any shades dark enough!

29I've been wearing rich red polish for years. My fav shades are various ones by Essie. I tend to go for creme shades rather than pearlized or metallic. It looks more classic.

1 OPI Rockette Red (Which is from Hol 06 but is still available)
2 OPI Kennebunk-port
3 Essie Bordeaux (Altho it maybe more of a Burgundy Red )
