Just when you think you've seen everything, along comes colorOn Instant Eye Shadow Applicator, which does for eyes what Lee Press-On Nails do for your fingertips. Developed by makeup artist Irina Iosilevich, the product is essentially eyeshadow deposited on an eyelid-shaped applicator. To apply it, you peel back the applicator, press it to the closed eyelid, rub the shadow on, and set it with included powder.
The idea is to give women the opportunity to wear complex eye shadow looks without having to fuss with a lot of brushes and shadow pots. In theory, it seems nice... but I like being able to control what goes where. (Sorry, I'm a control freak.) And at $16 for a package of 10 pairs of applicators, I can't see this being a daily indulgence. Still, the idea is fun and innovative. Think you'd ever go for something like this?

i actually think this is really cool! and i would totally try it out!
1I would try it for a special occassion. The camo look is dumb though.
2wow, that army fatigue eye is hideous!
3I fear it will smudge. And do y'all really want camo eyeshadow?
4Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't make any sense to me: I'm sure we all have different eyelids (size, creases...)? I can't picture that method giving a neat result!
5it's a little strange but i'd try it.. the camo make-up is fug
6I honestly like it!
7It would be great for rushed morning...
ugly. wouldnt waste my money on that.
8AimeeB posted these yesterday.. maybe for those who havent mastered the brush its a good idea.. but I agree Im a control freak to and I like to do it myself..
9I blogged about this yesterday.
I don't think I would ever try this unless it was free.
10so thats how Beyonce must've got those leopard print eyes in Kitty Kat
11I would use it for a special event like a wedding.
12Ladies you know you want to heart my link about this from yesterday:

Shameless plug
13I'd try it, that's only because I don't know how to put on eyeshadow or make up for that matter..
14I think that it is a neat idea and I would totally try it! Only if they have attractive colors.
15Aimee im such a fan Im reading it again! LOL :0*
16I think it would be great for travel....sometimes I just don't have enough room for ALL of my makeup!! Remember that you could always blend the colors yourself, it wouldn't have to stay exactly the way it goes on.
17Holy Cow. Can the american consumer be any more dumbed down? Are people that inept and lazy that they can't put some eye shadow on? Pathetic. The sad part is that this will totally sell out.
18I actually like the camo look for something like a Halloween costume, but for everyday use it's just too expensive and impractical.
19it could be fun for a costume, too.
20I dont get the point of this? Theres good reason behind press-on nails...but EYESHADOW? Very few of the pictures shown on the site look pretty. I wouldn't waste my money on this, maybe for a gift for a younger cousin or something who isn't too great at makeup and would find it "fun"...
xoxo
21I hate it... where's the art in that?? I Love having my own set of brushes and creating whatever beautiful art I want! I'm not dissing this for those of you that Do like it. I just preffer to have pretty brushes
22These would be great for halloween. But if you're in a hurry, how is the faster than a quick swipe of color?
23I'd love to try this stuff out. it'd be interesting, that's for sure.
24This is hilarious, but I might actually try it if I could just buy one set and see how it works. I'm so bad at applying eye makeup. But then again, I have a hard time believing it works.
25I like the look but I wonder if all the colors and patterns will adjust to eveyone and their eyelid shape.
26I put makeup on because I like doing it, so I wouldn't use these. However, if they did some really intricate ones for Halloween or something, it could be great! Can you imagine if MAC did something like that with some of their great concepts from this Halloween? I'd totally try something like that!
27People are getting more lazy by the MIN. I swear...
28Even looking at the photos, you can see how they look on different size & shape eyelids.
29One would at least blend around the edges, but I'm assuming that that they didn't for the expample...
I've never been good at the multiple color looks, and I think that all of the expamles are pretty, although a few do need some blending (minus the camo, of course).
I'd try it at least once.
maybe if you are a theme window stripper and you only have 5 minutes between acts? okay, gotta wipe this geisha stuff off and get my camo on...
30CHEAP move! Quite awhile ago on Oprah, she had women competing with their own inventions to get their product on QVC. One woman had this EXACT idea and made it to the finals. I feel bad for her now that a big company has swooped up her idea.
31Interesting - not sure at all about the camo look though.
32Might be fun to try, but too expensive and unnecessary for regular use. I would consider something like this to keep at work, since I hate bringing a bunch of makeup with me when I know I will be going out straight afterward.
33All of the models look like they are wearing 5 pounds of eye powder. If it was more subtle, maybe it would be nice. Otherwise, this stuff is great for Halloween...
34ITA with Advah...different size eyelids...great concept but not sure if it would work for everyone.
35I'm sorry but
. I'm horrible with makeup but I don't think I would try this.
36wow, I went to the site and looked...some are really bad!
37I love applying makeup.. it's artistic and I'm so girly. But I know there are girls that might benefit from having eyeshadow combos pre-made. Maybe for a special occasion or a time crunch.. I'm always running around and it might be nice to have a paper-thin slip of eyeshadow and not the 3 ro 4 different ones I carry around. I might try it.. why not?!
38If it actually works as well as the pictures, I think it's a great idea. I know some people who could use a little help when they have a special occasion.
39might be good in a hurry, or traveling
40i'm a little offended that some commenters are saying things like, for example, how inept and lazy a person would have to be to use these. my friend's mother has parkinsons and these would be fantastic for her to use, she has such a hard time with makeup, especially around her eyes, and doesn't always have someone around to help her.
even without a physical need for these...i personally would love to try them. the camo look is just like any super bright eyeshadow or funky color scheme in an ad: it's a promo or special occassion look for the photos, not an everyday one. and quite frankly i have so many other things to do with my time the rest of my busy day that i'd welcome anything that makes the process easier & faster. perfectly blended eyeshadow is something i've never been able to master, no matter how much i practice or spend money on nice brushes. =]
41I have a hard time believing this would work particularly well. It's obvious that the models have had a lot more done to their eyes than just press on the sheet because they have detailing done in the inner corners of their eyes and on the bottom lid. Also, how on earth would this work well for differently shaped eyelids? Everything would just be off. Even if they did work like magic, they are ridiculously overpriced. There is no way i'd fall into a gimmick like this.
42well said, metroBabylon!
i love experimenting with eye makeup but there are some looks i just can't recreate no matter how many times i try. while i wouldn't wear these everyday i might try them for a night out or a special occasion. not everyone is a professional makeup artist!
431) Do people actually want their eyelids to look like army fatigues?!
2) Didn't someone already show this idea on Oprah a while back (normal every day women showing their homemade inventions?)... If it's not the same lady, it's definitely a rip-off!
44i guess thats cool, but the camo is really tacky.
45All those looks are so draggish
46Hi Everyone! I am a makeup artist in South Florida, and I discovered this product last May at the Makeup Artist Show in New York. At first I was skeptical, but I have to say this is an amazing product, and it DOES work. Maybe camouflage is not for everyone, but they have so many fabulous colors for everyday wear, and evening looks. I will tell you it is the fastest and easiest way to a smokey eye ever, without the mess. To all the "control freaks" out there, and the ones who doubt it won't work for different eye shapes, think again. The product goes on creamy, so you can blend it and move it around to your liking, and once you set it with the powder provided, it is long wearing and will not crease. I realize their are many makeup junkies on here (and I am one of them) that prefer the "do it yourself method", but so many average women simply do not know how to properly apply eye makeup, and therefor avoid it all together. How many of you know those girls that just wear liner and mascara? The price isn't bad when you consider that you achieve a complete eye look on both eyes with one applicator (yes 1 applicator will do both eyes), unless there is a design involved. And consider how many eye shadow palettes go in the garbage before they are ever used up at the cost of $20-$50 a pop. Plus you need to use eye shadow base, 2-4 shadows, and a couple of brushes to achieve what this product can do. I love it as an artist because it saves me time when I have 20 models to do in 10 minutes, and I think most women will appreciate anything that saves them time, and helps them look fabulous. I actually got to meet the inventor of this product, and no she is not the woman that was on Oprah, but I can tell you she has been developing this product for over a decade in her kitchen, and holds the patent on the product. Maybe that's why we haven't heard any more from the woman form Oprah??? There's always more to the story than meets the eye. Anyway, I think it is a great product. I have used it on many clients, and they LOVE it. My advice is not to judge too quickly before you've tried it. Remember modern mascara (in a tube and wand) is only 50 years old, and I am sure there were doubters when it was first introduced. I think this is the best innovation in beauty since. Cheers.
47I do my own makeup and enjoy doing it as well as trying new techniques and colors but,I think this idea is great.Only problem is I don't think it would work like they show in the pics. I can't imagine all of the shadow on the paper coming off neat and in place. I may buy just to see.
48a blended look is better. This is just so stiff and looks like you tried too hard.
49These are really cool! They would be great for a speacial occasion or the like. I would totally use them.
