I have no hateration for Mary J. Blige. (Nor drama.) I do, however, have an issue with this obvious lip liner on her. It's just not a flattering look, in my opinion.
What is flattering, though, are the highlights in her hair. Blond hair isn't always easy to pull off if you aren't born with it, but Mary's blond brings out the glow of her skin. So tell me what you think: Are you loving this look on Mary, or do you want to pass her a tube of Viva Glam to help with that liner?

5I think sometimes she just goes overboard, too gaudy, too flashy, too much going on. Those earrings would have been better w/a pretty LBD, they are too much for that wild (ugly) dress.
6Isn't the obvious lipliner more of a cultural thing? It seems that I see this much more on girls from "the hood," whether they be black, Latina, or white, than I do on girls from upper- and middle-class homes.
It's not a look that I'm fond of, but it can be done well, especially when the colors blend from darker at the outside to pale at the inside. Frankly, for the look, I think she did a good job.
