While at the grocery store this weekend, I became momentarily transfixed by the December cover of Marie Claire. Nicole Kidman is on it, looking as flawless as ever. My guess is that the art department gave her a Photoshop makeover, but I am also constantly flummoxed by the lack of movement in Nicole's forehead.
A lot of you think she's had Botox, and well, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. But in the Marie Claire article, she says the rumors are false. Here's an excerpt:
So she hasn't used Botox? "No," she replies, exasperated. "Anybody can do anything to themselves, their bodies. I have no judgment on it. I personally believe in physical health because of the way I was raised. I can't go in the sun; I'm fair skinned. That was a nightmare when I was a kid, but it has some benefits now. It's that simple. I still had one skin cancer on my leg, because I put my legs in the sun."
Nicole is right: Avoiding the sun will prevent wrinkles and cancer, so she's smart to keep her ultra-fair skin out of its rays. But regarding Botox, doth the lady protest too much? I'm not sure if she's gone under the needle, but if she has, I doubt people would jump down her throat. After all, is getting Botox really that big of a deal among famous women these days?

3Ava, that's hilarious. Dorian Gray syndrome! I hate when these people blatantly lie. The world can see she's botoxed within an inch of her life and had her lips injected too. Why can't she admit she's terrified of aging? That might make her more likeable.

5I agree with everyone. If she wanted to prove she hasn't had it all she would have to do is take a freaking picture with her eyebrows up. It's not that hard! I think she's so fake, it's hard for me to believe her characters.

7i must say that i don't believe for a moment that she hasn't had botox on her forehead. BUT knowing the things celebs find out about before the general public she could have gotten something else done up there and doesn't feel like she is lying when asked if used botox. but yeah she def had something done to her forehead. just doesn't look natural.
8I think that we just assume that hollywood stars have all had these procedures. I don't think she has. I am fair skinned and keep out of the sun and I don't need botox and neither does my 65 year old mother. Some people just have good skin and take care of it. I did read the whole article and she seems pretty genuine.
9A while back, BellaSugar posted the pre and post-photophopped picture of Faith Hill from her Redbook shoot. I thought the photoshopped picture looked really unnatural because she had no expression lines around her eyes! I think it could be the same thing with Nicole... I'd tend to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that her strange look is due to crummy photoshoppers rather than just decide she's a liar.

11Kimbit, we don't assume she's had botox becuase she's not wrinkled my sister in law takes great care of her skin and she has basically half the wrinkles most of her friends her age do. Keeping out of the sun and stuff of that sort does prevent wrinkles, the point is she looks completely different now that she did when she started her career if that isn't plastic then what the F is it? Her lips were never that big and her forehead is so wrinkle free its completely unnatural, I doubt even a damn Barbie or newborn baby has skin that smooth and wrinkle free.

13I read the Marie Claire article, and being a longtime fan it's so hard not to like her. That said, her skin does look suspiciously good for her age.
14Umm, HELLLOOO!? It's not uncommon for a celeb to go to an esthetician or a dematologist and get a retinoid cream or get a chemical face peel (which visibly reduces redness and wrinkles, as well as helps treat acne)
Really people, botox? maybe but its probably just photoshop gone wrong

18I don't usually read her articles so I could be wrong... but if she is specifically denying Botox, she isn't necessarily denying a facelift or a dermal filler other than Botox.

24Please, foreheads move and lips don't get plumper on their own, no lip plumper in the world will work on lips that thin, if she won't admit to Botox, then admit that the photographer's enhanced her photo's which basically amounts to the same thing, it is not your natural face, it is not you and you are not satisfied with the way you look.

29People keep talking about wirnkles. Sure plenty of people have great skin and little wrinkles. She's very fair and she's blessed to not fall into the tanning trap and ruin that skin. But that along with NEVER SEEING HER FOREHEAD MOVE, is why I say she's had Some kind of work done, botox whatever. Like I said before, if she's so sick of being asked, just move your damn forehead!
No doubt she's got some good genes but she seems to work pretty hard to express emotion. I just saw Margot at the Wedding (which is good) but she just looks unnatural. Her lip injections are starting to get a bit off kilter, too. I'm going to Netflix "To Die For" and remind myself of what she used to look like. Bring back the red hair!!!

31Its hard to judge her from her pictures in magazines. She always looks great and looks unlined and very youthful. I have no idea if she's had botox or not but she looks great.
32if she is employed by an industry obsessed with you, it isn't unlikely that she learned to pose and smile without wrinkling her forehead or furrowing her brow.

36Y'know, I've reconsidered.
I was thinking of the one photograph from the point of view of a person who never really looks at other pictures of her. A one-time shot like that might be photoshopping, but in comparison to pictures of her at events or in films it becomes pretty clear that the girl has had work!

39I am so annoyed by this debate....I am 43 and have no wrinkles and my forehead just naturally doesn't move.....I have a large forehead and maybe that has something to do with it,,,,,but I dont have money for facials or laser,,,,or botox and NO WRINKLES !
It is all about keeping the inflammation down in your body and also use sunscreen!
