After my initial review of No!No!, I promised an update on the new hair-removal device. My little pink gadget and I have been together for a couple of months now, and so I can give you a more robust idea of how well it works. (If you need a quick intro to how No!No! works, just read the first review.)
The first thing to understand is that using No!No! ($250) requires a time commitment. No, it's not a huge one, but it's still there, and I often had a hard time fitting my zapping time into my routine. I usually spend 20 to 30 minutes using No!No! on my legs and bikini line, and you're supposed to do this two or three times a week. It sounds easy, but if you have a busy schedule, it can be difficult to keep up this pace. (I found that it was easiest if I used the device while watching DVDs.)

Because I often missed a session or two with No!No!, I've had good but inconsistent results. That's all because of me, not because of the product, but I feel like it's worth mentioning again. No!No! doesn't magically zap your hair away immediately; it takes time. I've been using No!No! more consistently over the past few weeks, and I can say that I already see a big improvement.
Before, I'd mentioned that the smell of burning hair was a turnoff. The more you use No!No!, the better it gets, because you're dealing with small bits of stubble. So that's not so bad. And again, the actual procedure is genuinely painless. Occasionally, along the bikini line, I can feel the heat, but it doesn't burn.
So does it get rid of hair? Yep, it does. I have significantly less growth on my legs, and while the skin isn't completely hairless, it's a considerable improvement. Plus, because I have less hair, I don't have to shave very often. Now, if you want 100% hairless skin, you'll probably either have to use the device forevuh or consider waxing or laser hair removal. But if, like me, you just want to deal with less hair overall, and to shave less often, it works well. For this reason, I think No!No! would be a fantastic find for women who feel their arms are more hirsute than they'd like.
The bigger issue, of course, is the price. I received a test unit to review here, but No!No! retails for $250. Not chump change! Whether it's worth buying depends on your needs. I think No!No! is worth purchasing if:
- It fits within your budget.
- You're willing to spend an hour to 90 minutes each week, for four to six weeks, to get results.
- You want to minimize body hair, to get professional-level results, and can deal with the occasional stray hair that comes back.
If you have any other questions, leave them in the comments. I'll try to answer as many as possible!

Thank you so much for the follow up - I really want this for my armpits and my lip - I think it will be a nice way to use any christmas money or visa gift cards I get.
1I think you can use it on the pits, but not on the lip, though. You might have to stick with bleaching, waxing or laser removal on that one.
2This is going on my Christmas list. Thanks for the review!
3Before and after pics would rock.
4thanks for the review! i agree it would be super useful for the pits
5hmmmmmm I need more research
6Question -- how often do you have to replace the blade (or whatever the zapping part is called)? I know you have to buy replacement cartridges and I was just curious how often, as that definitely factors into the cost.
7I think the "blade" needs to be replaced every few months. The kit comes with five of them, and I'm still on my first two. (Some are for long hair, others are for stubble.) Hope this helps!
8i think im going to stick with shaving/waxing for my legs and bikini. i do not have the time to use this device, and i cant see myself investing that kind of money into something that i know im not going to use enough which will lead to not getting such great results.
and i was so excited about it when it first came out too. well maybe they will come out with a second generation that will take less time...
9sounds time consuming but i so want to try this thing
10love the concept!
I'm so intrigued by this thing. I hardly have any leg hair to start with, so maybe it would just free me completely...? Oh what a nice thought. Thanks for the review, Bella!! Definitely helping me make a decision...
11I just got mine...hopefully I will be committed and see some results.
12i just know i am too lazy to use this thing. it would be a complete waste of money.
my hubby
is just going to have to get used to having a wife that on occasion looks like sasquatch.
13I have very little hair, I've been lucky, so it's not for me.
14I am getting this for Christmas! I am so excited!
15I'd like to give it a shot but right now all my money is for OTHER people's gifts. Phooey!
16I think I would enjoy it if it wasn't for the price. I might consider buying one if the price drops ... but probably not as long as it stays over $200
17Give me your tester unit! PLLLEAAASSSEEEE!!!! PCOS... I need it!
18If I use this now and get enough money for laser hair removal later, will the laser still work on me in the future?
19I really want to try this but will wait awhile for the price to come down, if it does.
20Intriguing...though it is expensive, when you think of how pricey it is to get bikini waxes/laser treatments, it's not unreasonable. I am definitely interested in trying this/hearing more about it!
21anybody try it on their armpits? i get awful irritation (intense itchiness) from shaving, so i'm worried this might irritate my armpits as well...
22Thanks for the great review
23I am a big wimp - is it really painless?
24How are the results on your bikini line? Did you just stick to zapping the hair that would be seen outside of your swimsuit or did you venture into more sensitive territory, if you get my drift? I hope that's not too personal of a question, I just find that shaving the undercarriage is tougher and more irritating than any other part!
25This sounds interesting.
26I'm about halfway through having my bikini line lasered professionally. Does it feel about the same? I love the results so far, but I might try something like this!
I disagree. I bought this last month. And I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. The thing started to SMOKE when I was using it on my arms. I wasn't going fast, as the green light ensures you are using it properly... I was going very slow. It missed most of the hair.
The burnt hair smell was awful too. If you must use this, do it near an open window.
I agree with Bella that it doesn't hurt at all. But I really don't think this product is worth its price.
Now, the T3 hair dryer that costs $300... That is TOTALLY worth the proce. But not the No! No!
27I'm with hboogie, please spill about the bikini line! my skin is so sensitive there I can barely stand to shave, and this device would be such a lifesaver!
28i want one now!
29I wish you could use this on your face.
30i have one... i have been uuseing it for like a month on my legs and arms... because i'm a little scared of using it on the bikini area
i'm a total woose... and i can tell you it's absolutelly pain free... i know the smell iof burnt hair is awful but it's a small prize to pay
here in mexico is been out for a while... like a year or two... and it hasn't droped a peso in it's prize... it's like 2900 pesos... so it's like a 250 us dollars
31agh... way too expensive for me... I guess I'll have to stick to shaving/ creaming...
32Any updates?
33hi, I want to know if anyone's done any research on the effectiveness (and possibly, accelerated effectiveness?) on hair that's been waxed a lot-- would it be beneficial, do you think, to start from a place of finer, wax-regrowth hair?
34I tried this several months ago, and discovered several thing. 1. very fine hair does not remove well; I had lots of stubble. I only did a small section of my ankles, and gave up. 2. I was so disappointed that I tried tweezing the stubble. Not good. If you have any natural curl or wave elsewhere on your body, tweezing results in ingrown hairs. Painful. Nasty looking. I'm back to shaving.
35thanx for the review Bella, but just to clarify: you use it for 4 to 6 weeks and then you end up with no(?) hair for how long? or does it reduce the amount of hair in general for a certain amount of time?
36Thanks for the review, I've been interested in this product, and this helps.
37I love Mujan for waxing. Hard to find and has a short shelf life but that is what I use. Bought this million dollar machine anyway. Can I wax the long growths I have now....have to with wax....and then start using No! No! when the stubble starts growing in and go on with the regime from there? What do you think?
38After using No! No!, do you have a little stubble the next day? And how long before you have to use it again. Are the results better than shaving when you first use it or are you left with an uneven shave?
39ok so ive been using this pretty faithfully for about a month & a half but for some reason i never get a completely steady light. it doesnt usually flicker heavily, just a little, but its never completely steady. Is this normal or does it mean its not working?
40This looks like a good thing to me. I have had electrolysis, but I still have a ways to go. With three females in our household, we would make good use of it.
41i have a question. Where can you use the nono. I know that you can use it on your arms and legs, but can you use it on your bikini line, stomach, or underarms?
42I'm excited to purchase this NO!NO!
But I need to read a little more reviews
first.... Before and after pictures would be nice!
43To beat the price, check out ebay.com. After a quick check, I see many new units. One is a "Buy-it-Now" for $214.00 with FREE shipping. Some ongoing auctions are in the $150 range with a couple of days to go. BEWARE of the International sellers with the silver units, they are knock offs (or, so I have read on other review sites)
Would be worth a daily search and a little monitoring if you are desperate to get this thing AND save some cash.
44q; is nono as efective on male hair
45Thanks for a great review! I just learned about No!No! in Vanity Fair and am considering it. Relatively speaking, I don't think $250 is unreasonable. I had laser hair removal done on my armpits and extended bikini line & it cost about $2,000. I completed my treatment (2 years) and am ALMOST entirely hair-free in those areas. I have togo back occasionally to zap a few stray hairs. So I wonder if anything in the hair removal arena is 100%.
46I am really tempted to buy this as they're offering it online for $173. Just interested in knowing if anyone has tried it on their face. I know they don't recommend it but...is that just because they are covering their butt or if they've had bad results. Anyone?
47i just used it, it stinks so much BUT i have so much hair ok fair enough it leave hair behind but im thinking if i keep using it, if it actully will eventually make the hair less thick and so not much of it id be hppy with that.. better than paying $300 for a session of laser on your legs
48When I saw this product advertised on HSN, it said you can use this from the neck down. does that mean you cannot use it on your face, if so, do you know why?
49You probably can't use the no! no! on your face because of the heated wire. The light and heat would not be good for your eyes. Also, the smell of burning hair would go right from your upper lip into your nose!
