According to a study, those who have bad hair days suffer from lower self-esteem than those who feel good about their hair. The kicker of it all is that males seem to be even more affected than females — how about that?
When my hair is acting up, I usually opt for a ponytail and will often try out a more dramatic makeup look to compensate. It looks like Scarlett Johansson covers her hair with a beret, while Britney Spears favors a disheveled mish-mosh of an updo. What's your go-to style when your hair won't cooperate?

When I'm not at work or going out at night, I am a ponytail addict!
Ponytail all the way! I try to compensate with dangly, funky earrings and more interesting make-up. My hair is getting too long to do much else at this point but I hope to remedy that soon!
Ponytail. But now I cut my hair short so I can barely put my hair back... I'll have to find a new method.
I usually just work through them, because I look stupid with my hair up. But if it's really bad, I'll do a scarf or a cute little hat. NEVER a baseball cap. NEVER!
P.S. I actually own that hat Scarjo has on and I wore it outside today. It's from Urban Outfitters.
All of the above
All of the above!
It depends on what I'm wearing.
A messy up-do works everytime!
And if I do it when my hair is damp and wait and hour and take it out my hair will be all nice and curly too!
If i am all casual then i would just wear a cap.
If at work some ponytail or messy bun
I have short short hair so the only remedy is a hat. I have tons of cute hats though so it works out...
I part my hair to the side and put it in a fashionable bun. And sometimes I will add a headband if I'm in the mood.
I really don't have troubles but when I don't feel like doing a lot with my hair I put in a sleek ponytail (no scrunchie, lol!) Or I'll wear a cute beret or newsboy cap but that's usually to go with an outfit, not hide my hair.
My hair is short now..so its hard for me.
Ponytail, updo with a clip or a hat when walking my child to school.
I don't have hair troubles.
I can't answer that survey because while I often wear a beret or scarf, I would never wear a baseball cap! That's a fashion deadly sin for me.
French Braid.
Baseball hats are CHAV
I braid my hair on each side and then put a bandana on. Then i kind of tuck my braids up under the back part of the bandana that hangs down in the back. This works great (and actually looks quite cute) when i have bad roots or a funky wave in my hair that looks bad. Im not much of a hat person. Ponytails are okay if my roots are still okay....lol.
Ponytail - and usually a bit of eyeliner
A nice tight bun can never do me wrong.
WASH IT!!!!!!!!
Any style except for Britney's hair-do in this picture. Gawd! She is gross!
I like to do a side part with a tight, low chignon. It always looks nice, plus keeps my hair out of my face. My hair is so long that even when in a ponytail, it gets in the way, plus a high bun ends up hurting my head because its so heavy. Ah, the hazards of long hair.
I do all of them. Depends on just how bad the hair day is.
all the above!
Beret in winter, messy updo otherwise.
Curly or straight a pony is my go to.
I love a sleek bun as it looks very classic and keeps messy hair out of the way.If the look is too harsh, try a loose tendril near your forehead curled loosely with a blast of quick heat from a curling iron.
A NEAT ponytail. Not Britney-style.
My hair is too short to pull back, so I'll use a couple barrettes.
am sooooooooo not into pony tail so i would definately cover it up with something
ponytail with a messy top.. and then maybe a headband like those stretchy kinds.
a lot of spray or gel on my bad hair days (-_-) those day suck!!
i'm with syako, again, on the short hair thing! hats are the way to go! although i don't go that route too often since it's really easy to wet my hair down and start from scratch!
I take it back, twist it and stick a clip on it
If i'm having a really bad hair day and i know i won't need to take off the hat, then i go with a beret/beanie. But if it's not that bad i go for a messy updo or sorts and hair band for extra control
My hair is wavy to curly and sometimes can get a bit unruly. When i don't have time to straighten it, i just pick it up in a nice bun.
I just chopped off my long long hair to chin length so i dont have this problem anymore...but i used to be a ponytail girl
Wash it agian and start over. : )
I almost always put it back in a Braid when it's long. I just had it cut to stop myself from being such a slacker. Now it's a bun or a messy bun. Ponytails hurt my head.
Britney's bad hair day's makes my bad hair days look stunning. I also have longer hair and am overdoing the ponytail thing it's just too easy.
Ugh. Britney. Get some good extensions for a change.
I normally go for a bun or ponytail when my hair acts up. I need to get some cute hats and scarves. I love that look.
I don't know if it's even considered a bun, but yeah I either pull it back into a low ponytail or do this twirl thing that's a pseudo-bun I guess...
A pulled back twist, but not totally messy. Just a bit undone.
I usually just throw it up in a messy bun or Ill pull all my hair to one side of my head and braid it
Poor Brit-Brit. I'm tired of that hoodie since the first time..
my hair is pixie short. lucky for me that means less bad hair days. i can add bare escentual's mineral veil if it's too greasy with product or more fred fekkai coiff wax if it needs more shape.
