Matrix recently launched a new line of thermal styling products called Vavoom Gold Heat. The four-product collection contains micronized gold, which acts as a protectant against heat-styling tools (hair dryers, straighteners, curling irons). They also claim to style your hair faster, since the formulas supposedly disperse heat more evenly.
The collection is broken down into two categories: volumizing and control. Its four pieces are Blow In Volume (protective lotion for thin hair), Iron In Volume (adds shine to thin hair), Blow In Control (protective serum for thick hair), and Iron In Control (prevents static on thick hair).

All of the Vavoom Gold Heat products cost between $13.95 and $15.95 and are sold only in salons (see the box on the top right to find one close to you). For more details on each of the products, read more
- Blow In Control Protective Serum should be used on wet hair before you blow dry to combat frizz and fly-aways. It is best suited for medium to coarse hair.
- Iron In Control Protective Dry Mist works well on thick hair and should be used before using a straightening or curling iron. In addition, it smooths out your hair so the iron can glide on effortlessly while also sealing in moisture and preventing static.
- Blow In Volume Protective Lotion is good for those with fine to medium hair. It protects hair from heat damage and gives body, shape, and movement to limp hair.
- Iron in Volume Protective Dry Mist is great for adding shine to thin hair. It also helps tame static and should be used alone or after hair has been prepped and dried with Blow In Volume.

Interesting...
1Wow! Sounds terrific! I can't wait!
2Sounds like a good idea, though I personally don't use hot tools on my hair for fear of frying it permanently.
3These sound great - i might have to splurge on them for my hair. I can't go without blowdrying my hair at least twice a week. I try not to use too many heat products, but you can only do so much without them.
4I'd try the Volume ones...
5The packaging kind of reminds me of 'Outrageous' shampoo that I was obsessed with in high school. Does anyone else remember that old school shampoo?
6I have both the Blow In Control & Iron In Control. I have noticed that my hair dries faster when I blow dry it but I still have a lot of static in the morning.
7Sounds like a lot of marketing to me...
