With the invention of hair wax and spray gels, you may think of hair mousse as a relic of the '80s. But that's not the case, as long as you find one that isn't sticky. Here are three of my all-time favorite hair mousses.
Finesse Touchables Extra-Control Mousse ($3.79) is a protein-enriched mousse that tames flyaways and creates body without drying hair out. It gives you the hold of a light hairspray without any of the stiffness or stickiness. I love the sweet smell of this product.

Frizz-Ease Corrective Styling Mousse ($5.99) is great for those with curly or permed hair who are looking for hold without the crunchy aftereffects of hair gel. It leaves your hair feeling pretty soft, and since it contains silicon, it also adds shine and helps control frizz. Also, since it's alcohol free, it won't dry out your hair.
Citre Shine — Big Volume Styling Foam ($5.19) is a styling product that gives hair volume, boost, and shine. I'm not going to lie: It's a teensy bit sticky, but the hold is soft and it somehow makes your hair feel just a little bit thicker than usual.

I don't use mousse all the time, but if I do, I like Dove's. It smells great and gives my hair a little more body.
1I like never use mousse. But I think soon I am going to go on a Beauty Shopping Spree and invest in a bunch of hair products and see how they work for me
Cuz as of now I just use use a curl enhancer when I curl my hair and a shine serum when I
straighten it!
2i havn't used moose in a really long time.. right now im trying to figure out how to work with mu curls.. since my hair is darker now.. the waves to me just dont look as nice as they use to when it was lighter.. so i need to figure something out!
3I never use mousse.
4I like Redken's mousse
5I hate to admit it without sounding dorky, but I depend on mousse! It gives my hair just enough volume!
6Aussie has a mousse that is also a leave in conditioner. Not sticky, smells nice, and doesn't give you the massive 80s hair.
7Woo hoo
I use Finesse's mousse; like Bella said, it smells great, works great and has
a great price!
8cool Bella thanks for the tips! I needed some new ideas for mousse
9I hadn't used mousse since the 80's! But recently I discoverd Redkens Guts 10 Volume Spray Foam. It's a mousse that sprays onto your hair so no more messy hands. It's awesome!
10I agree, bellasugar! I don't usually buy drugstore brand hair products anymore, but this mousse by Finesse has always been my favorite - it has excellent hold and I really enjoy the scent, as well. Your feedback was spot on! I recommend it for those with naturally wavy hair and want to go curly for the day.
11My husband uses the finesse mousse because it's lighter than gel. I'm not going to spend megabucks on his hair products since he really doesn't care.
12I like John Frieda's mousse. I don't really use it that often, just when I wear my hair curly.
