Okay, this isn't technically makeup, but since it's still in the beauty genre I thought it was relevant. Hair conditioner and hair masks can also be used as shaving cream. I realize that it doesn't foam or even lather really, but it does create a smooth, slippery surface that helps prevent nicks and scrapes from razor blades.
However, something to keep in mind is that conditioner is a lot heavier than shaving cream — so you've really got to clean out the blades of your razor well to ensure that no oily residue remains for your next shave. For more ideas to get the most from your makeup, click here.

haha this a good idea!! i dont even use shavin cream thO! i gave up on that a LONG time ago! i just have the razor with the huge bar of soap around the blade! it seems to work well!
1This works in a pinch, but I try not to do it very often because my conditioner generally costs about 10 times more than my shaving cream!!
2I read in a magazine to use american crew shave oil...i tried and was hooked onto it!
3I don't think I would ever ever ever use sand on my face, a little pinch of not.
And I don't think I would reuse an old toothbrush on my brows, sorry-nope!
I've heard the conditioner one before, the baby powder one is okay and the rest seem do-able.
4i've done this before, but only once in awhile since it makes my legs pretty dry
5I've done this before in a pinch, it works
6I usually use conditioner on my legs I like it.
7I usually use this trick when I have a conditioner that's a dud. Better to use it for something than to let it go to waste, right?
8bella. totally agree! better than going to waste. also, I have been doing this for some time at the gym to shave my armpits. I cannot go a shower without doing this if u know what i mean. also, it saves on dragging one more thing to the gym.
9I do it all the time with cheap conditioner or conditioner I buy and don't like! Some girls in dance class in grade 10 taught me this trick
10I do this all the time!
11I've done the baby powder trick before when I was camping and couldn't wash my hair...it works okay but you really have to brush it in good so you don't see it.
I've also used the clear nail polish to fix a run in my tights too...that's a really old "trick"!
The rest I've never done and probably wouldn't unless I was in a pinch without my "proper" products.
12Conditioner dulled my razor blades too quickly- I use Philosophy’s 3-1. It's lovely!
13I especially like to do this in the winter when my legs are scaly and itchy (like right now)
I think I'll do this tonight; it seems to give moisturizer a good base as well so it keeps your legs even silkier.
14I always use conditioner to shave my legs- it's the only thing i've tried that actually gets me a close shave AND keeps my legs from drying out. I definitely didn't know other people did it though...
15@ estrela: I do it all the time too!
