One of my New Year's resolutions is to stop obsessing over the flaws in my skin. I've already admitted to excessive picking and taking photographs of my pores, and now it's time to choose a spot treatment, stick with it and walk away from the mirror!
I know that everybody has a pimple product of choice. Personally, I like when they sting a little bit so I know it's really taking action. Vote below to share your favorite acne fighter. If it's not one of the options listed, share your fave in a comment.

i use the clean and clear and have found that it doesn't work! so i'm eager to see how the results of this poll come out so i can pick something new . . .
i actually use the entire murad acne line and. im 24 and most other lines either do nothing or make me way dry. that stuff is amazing...especially combined with the exfoliating gel!
I don't break out often at all, but if I do get a pimple, I love Mario Badescu's drying lotion. I bought it on a whim for the first time three years ago and I was very impressed with how well it worked.
I dont have and didnt have it either. My husband used to have pimples. He and I swears by Acne-Free---to be a very effective potion to get rid of pimples and breakouts and smoothen the skin
I starte to use the new Clinique line and really like it. My blackheads on my nose are gone. I like the post blemish stick. I had a blemish that wouldn't completly heal for a long time, I started to use that on it and it is gone now with no trace. The system was a bit drying at first, but now my skin has adjusted.
I use Acne Free and I love it. The pimple Terminator is awesome! Put the Terminator on a pimple and overnight it's gone!
Haha wellllll I don't use anything but my cleanser and an occassional mask (as well as my mousturizer everday) and my face is fine
Mario Badescu is the best! It rivals the Px treatmet Sulfacet.
i had a HUGE pimple on my chin and after a week and a half it finally went away!!! this morning...what do i wake up with! ANOTHER pimple in the same exact spot!!!!!! ugh...
i seriously need it to go away
If and when ProActiv is amazing and just regular old tea tree oil.
i don't use any of this stuff.. i us benzac .. and it does dry my face a little in the winter..but it works wonders!! last week i could feel and KINDA see to huge pimps starting to emerge... and i put this stuff oN! and they went right away! i love it .. i have been using it since i was a teeN!
Murad is amazing!! The entire acne kit works wonders. I am 25 and have suffered from medium acne since I was a teenager. I love this stuff! Ok wow, I kinda sounded like an infommerical!! LoL
Clarins lotus oil...my pimples shrink overnight
Clearasil has helpt me through puberty in a way.. thnk god I don't get that much pimples in my face..
No spot treatment has ever really worked on me, but I guess the best has been Mario Badescu's drying lotion. The ONLY thing that has cleared me up and made my skin better has been the Dr. Hauschka line. I tell everyone I know about it because my skin seriously went from being red and irritated and acne-prone to smooth and calm. I don't get whiteheads or blackheads anymore--I still break out but the pimples are much smaller and not nearly as painful to the touch as they used to be. It's a bit pricey but considering the money I've spent on countless other treatments (and dermatologist appointments) that I'll never need to buy again, it's worth it.
Cetaphil cleanser, sunscreen and moisturizer and a homemade orange peel brown sugar scrub once a week. No breakouts.
my doc prescribed me with benzomyacin - it is antibiotic (erythromycin) lotion with benzoyl peroxide included. it was really cheap and has really helped. i also use tea tree lotion to reduce redness.
I second the tea tree oil!
Murad products are pretty amazing.
I'm using the Murad wash and loving it. A great spot treatment is Neutrogena Rapid Clear Acne Eliminating Spot Gel. That stuff is amazing!
I tried the Murad Spot Treatment and it was a complete waste of money. It did nothing for me. The pimples I had remained the same size they were originally.
Osea!!!!
KINERASE CLEAR SKIN BLEMISH DISSOLVER ZAPS & DRIES LIKE THAT!! LOVE THE ROLL-ON STICK.
I've tried most of these and they don't work. I finally found one that works, Dermalogica Medibac Clearing system, but it's a little expensive.
Well...for the last 3 months I have been using the entire Body Shop Tea Tree line and I am thrilled with the results. My skin is soft and bright, no more big embarassing break-outs, barely a blackhead in sight, no more dry patches...so...that's my absolute favorite right now.
Murad is pretty great. So is Mario B.
I use Body Shop products, all animal friendly and natural, and I like their tea tree oil. Otherwise I love clinique pore minimiser
I use tre tree oil blemish stick from The Body shop is great. I like the fact that I can wer it outside because of the clear color and it takes care of my blemishes without leaving any dark spots when they go away.
Pure Tea Tree oil, and Clearasil. Just cheap and effective. Of course there is no miracle.
LOL Seraphim... the recurring pimple! I have one on my chin too and it always seems to happen in the same spot
Queen Helene's Mint Julep Mask works great if you put it on your spots overnight - after a day or two, mine are completely gone! A tube of it is only $5-ish, and mine has lasted over a year, being used both as a spot treatment and as a twice-a-month mask!
I got my free sample of Murad acne wash in the mail the other day, and though I usually only get the occassional breakout on my chin--my skin had a few more blemishes. I swear I woke up the next morning and my face was clear
Love Murad. My skin worries are over!
Proactiv through and through. I've been using it since middle school and have noticed that in the years I gave it up, things got worse. It's the best and ONLY thing that's worked like magic to clear up the little bumps and pimples that pop up when stress gets high.
I haven't found ANYTHING that works for me.
None. I voted Murad, but you really should have had an "Other" option.
Clinique is the one and only (:
I LOVE my L'Oreal Adult Acne Daily Response System. It works really well on me
Kiehls blue spot treatment works wonders!!
ACNE should die!
tea tree oil.
I use Neutrogena gentle wash it works wonders.
I tried Murad & Proactiv but neither worked for me.
Now I have ATS (Acne Topical Solution)
& it really works! I have a prescription for it.
I stopped using these things altogehter..gave up, and sticked with concealer lol
MAKE YOUR OWN! Make a paste of corn starch and lemon juice. Dab slightly on the affected area. This works great for me. I'm 50 years old and have tackled skin problems all my life. When I get a pimple now it is usually the cyst type that can last for weeks under the skin. It's not pretty when applied but it really cuts down the swelling and redness. Cheap option. Give it a try!
Tea tree oil is definitely the way to go - it ALWAYS works for me, even though salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide don't really do much other than irritate my skin, and sulfur is only effective if I haven't used it for a while. I've been using nothing but tea tree oil for the past 6 months or so, and my skin has been incredibly clear...
i used to use the origins product and liked it... i tend to think these spot treatments don't generally work.
The Body Shop's Tea Tree line has done me well for the past couple years! Weekly with the exfoliator and twice a day with the cleanser and once a day with the toner (don't use the moisturizer though because I don't think it smells too pleasant!). And when a blemish gets through my line of defense (which typically happens once every 1-3 months), I immediately treat it with an ionic mask.
i use the neutrogena spot remover. I also liked the mask that comes in the proactive kits, just put a dab on and leave it overnight.
Oh and to those two other reacurring chin pimple ladies, i think we could start a club. It's SO frustrating.
Juvenil by YonKa - recommended by my facialist- it is amazing!

I don't use anything aside from my cleanser and toner. I know my cleanser has witch hazel in it, which I think fights acne but that's it.
Besides washing my face with Dove Soap (yes, the bar) and my moisturizing lotion, I only put items suggested by my doctor on my skin (which 99% of the time is prescribed creams)...
AND, I've never had better skin!
