I realize that this poll is only going to pertain to a small group of mothers and moms-to-be out there, but taking a look at Christina Aguilera wearing a full face of makeup out and about in LA last night really inspired me.
I feel like most ladies have so many other things to take care of when they are pregnant, that grooming and makeup is the last thing they're worrying about. However, since I have no children of my own, this is just an observation.
So tell me, do you (or would you) wear more, less, or the same amount of makeup when you are pregnant?

You know, I cant really tell you if I wore less or more, but I do know that I would never make-up my face up like a Jon Bonet Ramsey doll, not only in real life, but especially if I were pregnant. Pregnancy (not to mention day to day life) is no time to spray paint your makeup on as if you were a caberet dancer.
I think when I was pregnant, I wore the usual amount, maybe a little less because I didnt go out as often and didnt want to put in the effort because I was so tired.
1I wear the same amount of make up...however I know some women who wear more because they develop marks on there face. I had the same time when I was pregnant as I did when I wasn't probably more since I didnt go out as much, I did get tired though but I didn't change my make up rituals...
2I would depend on what the pregnancy did to my skin. I don't think I'd ever wear as much makeup as Christina, because that's just not my style.
3hmmmm if i ever get pregnant, i wun use so much make up. it looks clownish, if over done like x-tina.
4There's a certain myth about a pregnancy glow ... I have to admit, it's been a rare thing in my pregnancies. I never wear a lot of makeup, but some shimmer, gloss and mascara can brighten you up when you're feeling gray and tired. On those "glowy" days, though - wow! it's so nice to not need to worry about the makeup so much!
5you *glow* cuz u sweat
and she looks good. I'd wear the same amount.
6I don't think this has anything to do w/ her preganacy. She always overdoes it on the make-up. It looks so horrible.
7i would wear the same...but its not like this is just something Christina is doing because she is prego sha ALWAYS wears a lot of makeup its just kind of like who she is...Beyonce sticks her armpits up for the world to see...Avril spits..and Christina wears lots of makeup!
8(UGH!) Sorry, had this been anonymous, I'd have thought it was someone in a stage show or drag. Give this girl a makeover! She has a bad case of Mimi-itis. Less is more. I predict an "angelic" makeup palette post-baby.
9I've never been preggers so I dunno.
10But I don't think a women should eb judged on how much make-up she wears when she is pregnant. It's a very emotional time and it's hard seein your body change so much, and I think a women has the right to wear whatever she want if it makes her feel more secure and sure about herself.
I wore the same amount of make up when I WAS pregnant .Think Christina is overcompensating by wearing to mush make-up . To make you she looks put together at all time. Because some woman don't feel great and forget to make themselves up.
11less.
she looks like she's either retaining ALOT of water or has gained alot of pounds. could be both.
12Although, I've never been pregnant, when my husband and I first got involved, I gained a 6 year old. I can tell you right then and there my make up wearing changed. Whenever we went out places, I had to get her ready and than myself. My "made-up" face, quickly deminished. I now still wear make-up during the week to work, but on the weekends, unless I am going somewhere special, I don't really wear it.
13I've never been pregnant, so I'm not sure...but I'm guessing it might be a little less or remain the same.
14If I were I'd think I'd wear the same amount...
15I wore about the same, I think. But, I did spend more time on my hair because it was all thick and luxurious, so it was more fun to play with.
16well, shes pregnant and rich, which means she prob isn't working right now, so of course she'll be fab at all times!
17i'm actually not fond of her makeup these days though.. she wears way too much sometimes! it's borderline drag.
I'm not pregnant and I have never been...buuut I feel it depends on my skin how much or little make up I'd use. I heard pregnancy can sometimes cause discoloration, so I may use more makeup...but sometimes you get that beautiful baby glow, so I may use less.
Either way, unless I'm UTTERLY exhausted, I'd probably still use some makeup...quick swipe of bare minerals foundation and mascara at least. =) (can't give up my mineral makeup~ I'm so addicted to it XD its so wonderful on my skin)
18Okay, some days it is the same but most days I don't wear any, especially the first trimester when mustering up the energy to fix my hair was really hard. I felt like crap. I think the level of morning sickness is going to be a factor as to how much make-up one wears. For me, it was less. Now that I'm in my third trimester it is getting to be about the same as before. Other than my skin being a little dry it sort of radiates once I have my foundation on.
19I agree with JMichele24
20Same amount.
21i've never been preggo - but i can understand why more makeup would work. if you don't feel attractive - maybe a little (or a lot) of makeup would make you feel better
22I'll let you know!
23Ive never been much of a makeup wearer, so when I was pregnant it stayed the same. With my one year old I rarely wear makeup at all!
24Never been pregnant but I imagine I would wear the same amount!
25You should wear less to show off your "pregnancy glow". I personally, do not wear very much anyway and towards the end of pregnancy was just too tired to bother.
26I wore the same which isn't a lot by anyone's standards. I NEVER wear red lipstick, pregnant or not. I just don't look good in it. I feel silly. She wears too much makeup always, pregnant or not. I always fixed my hair though and didn't let myself go to look like I was dying. That annoys me. Pregnancy is tiring and you don't feel great some days, but make an effort at least. Some people look like death-that they are trying super hard to look bad so everyone will feel sorry for them. We all know how babies are made. If you can't handle it, get some birth control.
27I think that Christina must have really bad skin while she's been pregnant because she's been wearing more makeup than usual. I say women need to wear the same amount of makeup or less depending but it really is all about how much you're comfortable with.
28You're goes down while you're having a baby.
29If trannies could get pregnant, this is what they'd look like!
30I much rather see Christina with her full makeup... than walking around looking like Britney.
I have never understood all the cr*p Christina gets now since she decided to go glam. I love it. I am really just happy to see one of the girls under 30 rocking her own unique look.
I like seeing her caring about her image.
It is such a huge improvement over that multi-piercing scary black hair weave, ass-less chaps wearing days!
31I don't know, I never have been pregnant.
32Not applicable. I don't wear any make-up. I'm one of those all-natural gals.
33I pretty much wore the same with all 3 kids. Of course there were times when I went without any makeup for weeks and barely running a comb through my hair.. oh wait that was postpartum!!! LOL!
34I think she wears way too much makeup-and those really bold colors just draws more attention to the fact that she is so made up. I don't get it because she doesn't need it.
35She kind of looks like a clown...
(I think Christina wears too much make-up 99% of the time anyways)
I would wear the same make-up I would usually wear (if I were to get pregnant!)
36I've never been pregnant, but I imagine I'd wear the same or less depending on my mood.
37who cares?
when you're pregnant and you don't feel sexy, maybe you wear makeup. maybe you don't. i don't think being pregnant should be a reason somebody shouldn't wear makeup.
however, there is no excuse for christina (or anybody else) to wear that much makeup. pregnant or not, it looks ridiculous!
38Usually you wear less AFTER you have the baby...then you don't have as much primping time...
39Well it depends on where your going and what your doing. I would not wear her makeup when 7 months pregnant, but makeup does make you feel good at that time....I think the more natural makeup would make her so much prettier, and it just looks great on pregnant women.
40I'm not pregnant yet but I think that when you are pregnant you'll feel more beautifull than before!! so I voted for less make-up
41oops!! I mean beautiful
42She just doesn't look good with this mask of makeup on - less is more!! I am sorry but she looks like "Miss Piggy" with all the makeup ( not b/c she is pregnant) but because she overdid it with the face.
43It was more for me because I rarely wear makeup anyway. But when I was pregnant, I revelled in it! I dressed up more and wore makeup more often. I LOVE being preggers.
44I'D WEAR THE SAME,BUT THEN AGAIN, I DON'T GO OVERBOARD -EVER!
45Less Because makeup has alot of toxins
46and at least you'd have an exuse to look less atractive ..
(coz ur pregnant)
x
HA, ALL THAT MAKEUP AINT GUNA HIDE THOES FLABBY CHINS.
47OH ANOTHER THING, ARENT YOU 'SPOSE TO NOT DYE YOUR HAIR ETC WHILE YOUR PREGGERS...NAUGHTY CHRISTINA.
48I wore about the same but now that he is here, I wear a hole lot more. My face is a mess since he has entered this world. Blah, I'm like a teenage girl.
49I love make up...
