I can't say that I'm shocked by the results of this year's winner for best nail polish. While one brand in particular didn't win, it looks like black stole the show with total of 19 percent of the votes. Dark purple came in second place, and navy, and other inky blue hues came in at close third. Looks like goth-colored nails rocked 2007.
My personal black fave is OPI's nail lacquer in Black Onyx. It's a really shiny and opaque shade, and the formula can last up to eight days on my nails — which is a record high for a manicure for me! Now that we know that black polish rules, do you have a favorite brand, too?

11I love OPI's lincoln park at midnight, which is a dark purple. I only apply polish on my toe nails. I havn't yet gotten comfortable to seein them on my fingers...as soon as it goes on my finger nails, its off even sooner.

13Eh. I'm more of a dark red, chocolate, or bronze girl. Black has always seemed too harsh. But definitely OPI. Love their stuff.
14Everythingandme, I rocked white nail polish all summer! It's super clean looking and sexy. Try essie's white nail polish, forgot the name... Revlon actually has a nice one called "white on white" or something. Right now I'm all about black/navy/burgundy/gold. So chic for winter! My fav. black is essie's "licorice" it's a great true black and wears really well.

28OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark is awesome too, it's just a little different than Lincoln Park at Midnight, both are gorgeous dark purples.

I love the look of black polish,and have used Chanel's Black Satin for two years. But it always tended to dull a bit fast. And you have to keep your nails short and square to pull it off. But I tried Sally Hanson's Nail Lacquer "patent leather" side by side with my Chanel, and it's still shiny! And the brush is better too ( not to mention it being way more affordable.)
