Remember when Calvin Klein had a cosmetics line a few years ago? Its minimalist packaging reminded me of Shu Uemura a bit, and the colors were flattering and natural-looking. Despite these good qualities, it was discontinued. But as of January, it'll be back in a big way.

The ck Calvin Klein beauty collection includes more than 200 products, ranging from foundation to lip color to nail polish and everything in between. The concept is to link the cosmetics line closely to the current-season Calvin Klein fashion. To that end, makeup artists at the sales counter will be called "stylists." (What's wrong with plain old "makeup artists"? Oh well.)
Mark Carrasquillo, ck Calvin Klein global makeup artist, says that color is the thrust of the collection. He said: "You might put a green and blue eyeshadow together, but it's all about the application and how you wear it to make it new." The collection, which launches next month at Sephora, averages about $20 per piece. To see a slew of product images, including some dramatic ads from the campaign, just read more

Neat! I like Calvin Klien!
1I don't like the "Droopy eye look" the model's are sporting.
2However the makeup looks great!
I agree with candyhunnie - the model looks scary! But the makeup looks fabulous! Will definitely check it out!
3Coud be interesting...
4*could
5Ooh nice.. I like that lipgloss color.
And yes, the model looks evil and demonic. Not sure if that's the statement they were trying to make, but it certainly doesn't make me want to run out and get myself makeup to look like her.. hahah.
Seems like nice colors though.
6didn't Calvin Klein launch a makeup line like 10 years ago?? I thought I remembered it from the past...
7Nice.
8KatieKat- They've launched a makeup line several times but it never seems to pick up with the public...hopefully this 4th or 5th launch is a charm!
9I guess Asians and African-Americans will have to pass on this one?
10The packaging looks kinda cheap.
11Meh. I'm not impressed...
I noticed this the other day at Macy's. My local Macy's already carries the stuff!
12What would be so great about ck, I would like to know. We already have MAC and bareminerals and all that good stuff, why change. cause it's made by ck? nahh.
13used to use the blush and loved it but take it it will not be the same now x
14Only ONE of those model photos didn't scare me!
If that's the ad campaign they're using to launch the new line, what were they thinking??? Their fragrance ads have always been fab - some of them iconic, even. I hope the makeup ads get better!
15Calvin Klein cosmetics will be wonderful considering their their understated American beauty.
16Why do the models look so angry and...intimidating?
17dayzfan4life01, I haven't seen the foundation/concealer colors yet, so I'm hoping the line has been made with all kinds of women in mind. I'm not a fan of makeup lines that basically pretend like women of color don't exist, so I'm holding out to see.
18OMG Lara looks amazing in the adds. Love her , she's one my favourites right now
Unfortunately I don't know if we'll have CK Cosmetics over here
19thanks for info-love ck
20The models are creeping me out.
21yeah I agree with Lissiebug, very scary.
22I think I am missing the pigment-will the make-up have pigment that can be worn by women of color?
23I guess featuring various ethnic groups in Calvin Klein cosmetics ads is not the marketing strategy here? If I am not at least enticed by the ads to buy the product, I won't.
24Calvin Klein's models usually look to me like junkies or mental patients--sometimes both. This is the "beauty" he's selling? No thanks!
25ANYBODY ELSE NOTICE HOW ALL CK SCENTS SMELL THE SAME? SO I AM OFFICIALLY NOT ON THE CK FAN TRAIN. I DO LIKE THE LAST MAKEUP FACE, THO. JUST SAYIN'...
26add in allure mag. jan issue models are pretty scary!!!!!
27LOL...I love how the global makeup artist tells us something we already know! I have never considered the application of my makeup while applying!
28Looks OK...not a fan of the red lipstick, but I'd take a look at it.
29WOW. I'll definitely watch out for this in Singapore!
30Just purchased the foundation - shade caramel from the only store that sells it in Dubai - Debenhams at the Mall of the Emirates. Also picked up a lip gloss that the SA said would not go even after your coffee. Although the gloss which is a light pink shade feels thick and glue-like on the lips, it did plump up my lips instantly ala Jolie style and did not budge even after coffee... and breakfast! I think I will bear with the thick feel, if my lips did look more soft and plump at the end of it all.I havent tried on the foundation yet but its a cream to powder texture (i tried a bit on my face in the store)and shall put in my review after that. The price is a steal.
31where is it that she purchased these products-??? right the models are scary-can't wait till next mo. at Sephora-I'll be trying the lip plumper for sure--Is this place in the U.S.????
