Wow, MAC certainly swept the Best Eye Shadow category. Its shadows garnered a full third of votes, probably due to its ability to, as Hemlyn puts it, "blend like a dream." I noticed a lot of write-in votes for Urban Decay, too, pointing out its amazing color choices.
My favorite shadow of the year is Stila Kitten. (That particular shade got a few write-in votes, too.) This shimmery pinky-champagne shadow is a cult favorite, and justly so. It's a great base color, it blends well, and it lasts all day. And if you dab a bit on the inner corner of your eye, it just makes you look more alert and awake. Just gorgeous!

No brand can top MAC for it's range of colors...they have the best shades for sure.
Formula-wise, it's not my favorite, but I do love them!
Oh, and I agree Bella, Stila Kitten is amazing...the best color Stila makes!
1I love MAC, I just found out about them a few months ago and I can't believe what I had been missing. (I know I feel like I have been living under a rock, how do you not know about MAC?) I will never go with another line. LOVE IT!

4Obviously MAC was going to win - it's the best! BUT...I totally agree with Bella about Stila's Kitten! It is my go-to shadow for every day that I don't want to think about makeup and just want to look put-together!

6I really like MAC shadows - partly because of the formula and partly because there's approximately 500 million colors to choose from - but my everyday shadow is Bobbi Brown, with the occasional Urban Decay.
7I use MAC and SHU UEMURA... which are absolutely fab in terms of color and texture...i started on Urban Decay too. never ever been a fan of Stila though.

12mac is the one brand of makeup that has caused some crazy allergic reactions on me -- i got some eye shadow and liner and ended up with crazy puffed eyes for two days. bummer too cause they have such fun colors!
13i like the fun colors that mac has to offer but i usually end up wearing bobbi brown for everyday and she has some great neutral tone shadows for night

I love mac but totally agree with you... my favorite find this year was Stillas Kitten eye shadow. LOVE it!
