It looks like affordable at-home microdermabrasion kits were the big winners of the beauty breakthrough category for 2007. I am surprised about this one since I thought for sure that Botox and zit-zapping gadgets like Zeno and ThermaClear were far more popular — but the stats don't lie.
I actually just received Nature's Gate Organics Microdermabrasion Skin Refining Kit $38.50 as a gift and you guys have just really pumped me up to try it out. Since at-home microdermabrasion kits have won 26% of you over, can you tell me what your favorite brands are?

I really love Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Regenerating Micro-Polish Kit. It's very inexpensive (especially because mine came with a $3 off coupon attached), and I have been loving the results.
I use it at night, and next day, my skins looks great - it has been making acne scars less noticeable, and (at least temporarily) reduces the appearance of pores.
The magnesium oxide crystals are just the right size, and are plentiful in the scrub. The lotion makes my skin feel so smooth, but the only downside to the kit is that this cream smells very sunscreeny. But overall, I love it.
1I love the Neutrogena MicroDerm cleansing pads...they're gentle enough to use everyday and really do make a difference.
The Nature's Gate kit you got looks fab and $38 isn't too bad either. You will have to give us a review when you try it!
2MAC's face scrub is awesome--really does a great job without overstripping the skin.
3Dr. Brandt microdermabrasion. It's this fabulous lemon smelling buffing cream that you rub in for 2 minutes then wash off. Philosophy has a great one also!
4i cant believe people buy this. its a load of crap. doesnt work and irritates your skin. i use Youthfull Essence microdermabrasion. try it out. actually works.
5Dermanew!!!
6I like this kit from Philosophy. It has some kind of crystal scrub and then you put this activator on over top of that and it foams up. I tried that Zeno thing a few months ago and returned it after a week. It felt nice to use it, the heating was soothing, but it didn't do a damn thing for any of my pimples.
7I go to a dermatologist, you only get one face, why mess with it? meow
8It's not considered a microdermabrasion kit, but rather a "peel". It totally renews your skin and gently removes that top layer of skin to reveal soft, dewy skin underneath! W00t for Philosophy's Microdelivery Peel!!! (It's the same one Katie is talking about.)
9I got a microdermabrasion kit last year for Christmas. It makes my face feel really soft and I didn't have flakes for a lot longer than normal.
10I actually have another brand of this but I haven't tried it yet...
11I haven't messed with microdermabrasion yet, but I've wanted to for a while... at the moment, I just use Body Shop scrubs and masques...
12This is stuff is currently on sale for only $11.84 !
13Sorry, never mind, I was mistaken
