For those of you who have sensitive skin, most likely your face isn't the only part of your body that suffers from redness and reactions. I find that if I'm not careful about changing my razor blade frequently, or if I don't use ample amounts of lubrication such as shaving cream or moisturizing body washes, my legs, underarms and even bikini area often burned and become pink and swollen. Here are a few of my favorite sensitive skin shavers that have helped tremendously reduce inflammation and irritation — hopefully they'll be able to help you too.
Gillette Venus Divine ($9.99) has blades that are coated with aloe and plant oil infused moisture strips so that they will glide over your skin easily. The blades are also positioned so that each one cuts lower than the next. This results in fewer missed hairs and a closer shave.
The razor also features an ergonomic no-slip grip, a finger rest for better control, a wall hanger for in-shower wall storage and shower-safe refills (how convenient).

Bic Soleil Twilight Triple Blade Shavers for Women with Sensitive Skin ($5.79) comes with triple blades that are lubricated with aloe and vitamin E to help moisturize and soothe sensitive skin. It also comes with a curvy no-slip handle in fun pink and purple colors.
But best of all is that there is a lavender scent infused into the shaver handle for a more enjoyable and relaxing experience.
Schick Intuition Plus Shaving Kit for Sensitive Skin ($9.49) is a triple blade razor surrounded by a skin conditioning soap made with aloe, cocoa butter, shea butter and vitamin E so that you can lather and shave at the same time! Just wet the shaver and keep both your skin and the razor wet as you shave. This ensures that your skin is lubricated so that you have fewer nicks, a closer shave and wind up with less irritation. Also, I appreciate the indicator on the unit that tells you when you need to replace your blades.

Has anyone used the Venus Divine? I've been wanting to try it but ...
1I use the regular Venus and I love it so this can only be better.
2thanks! I use the regular one as well so may just give the new one a try.
3I use the pink one for years
4I have very dry, sensitive skin, especially in the winter, so I always buy razors for sensitive skin. I will have to try that Venus one, their razors are nice.
I hate those Schick Intuition ones.
5Thanks so much for this post Bella. My skin is super sensitive since I have eczema.
6In the summer Bic makes these tiny little razors for bikini areas, and they are AWESOME.... they have tons of lubrication and ae like $3 for 3..... I stock up when I find them
7I've tried all except the Divine. The others don't seem to help at all so maybe the Divine will be better. I've also found an Aveeno shave gel that reduces razor burn and that seems to help too.
8I use Venus Divine and love it - never have any problems with it, and have nice smooth legs every day
9I have really sensitive skin too. I use the Mach 3 turbo with sensitive foam gel, but not too often. In between I try to use sensitive hair removal cream.
10I really, really didn't like the intuition - I found it too big and bulky. Plus the soap around the edge crumbled and ran out really quickly.
I just use my boyfriends hehehe oh I am so bad!
11I hate the Bic Soleil razors. I can use them brand new out of the package and I get razor burn sooo bad.
12I stick to my Venus, I generally don't have issues with it. Although, since my skin is so dry from winter maybe I'll try the Venus Divine.
Schick Intuition gave me terrible bumps. And I can't believe there's really a difference between all the different Venus razors.
13I love the Schick Intuition - favorite of the bunch. My legs are so dry so it certainly helps a lot!
14do not use the bic soleil if you have sensitive skin. in fact, i've found all bic razors tear apart my skin. i use the schick quatro for women sensitive skin razors and love them!
15Have you used the Soleil, Bella? Because I personally think it's terrible....and I don't have sensitive skin. It drags across the skin with a tight pulling that feels drying. I think the best razor, sensitive skin or not, is the Schick Silk Effects. It has vertical wires wrapped around the two blades so you don't cut yourself if you slip. I have a feeling they're starting to phaze it out though....it's getting harder to find refills.
16I use the intuition and it's the only razor I can use. The sensitive skin cartridges really make all the difference in the world. I've heard good things about the divine but I haven't tried it yet.
17I'll have to try one of these!
18I have terribly dry and sensitive legs and I use the venus divine and a shaving cream made for dry skin and I never have any problems! I used to use that intuition one but the soap around the blade runs out so fast because you constantly have to keep it wet...and they are pretty expensive =/ One time I was trying to get the most out of it and cut myself pretty bad hahahaa
I love the divine though, so it was defintely a good switch =)
19I use the intuition blades and find they work great.
20Ahh, I'm the same way. Skin irritation, razorburn and ingrown hairs are the bane of my existence. I have to use Venus Divine razors, shave cream for sensitive skin, Olay Ribbons shower cream, and moisturize after every shower! Otherwise owww, redness everywhere!
21For me the biggest problem is the cost of the razors b/c I travel frequently and the one thing that I always forget is my razor! The Venus has a few new features that are great for someone like me...they sell them now without the extra blades (b/c when you have to buy three in one month, you have a surplus of blades) and they now make disposables for travel. I tend to pack more than one as I normally move from place to place during my travels before heading home. They also come in scents like Mango, etc. They are absolutely wonderful and you can get four for the price of one!
