Lots of ladies love the idea of adding some glitz and personality to their fingertips, and in today's world, there's no limit to how creative you can get.
Salons and beauty supply stores carry a wide array of decals, rhinestones and even air-brush stencils and kits to help you customize your own mani and pedi. Who says that a plain polished nail is for everyone? Are you into nail art?

Maybe for Halloween...
Depends on the type of nail art. Nothing too gaudy.
I do a little nail at of my toes but not my hands
Some how at 27, Nail art just doesn't seem that hot.
It's interesting to look at but I don't think I'd ever rock the nail art myself.
I just bought a kit, but I haven't played with it yet.
i think theres a very fine line that seperates nail art from looking either tasteful or tacky. if its used especially on the hands i think it has to be a very simple not too in your face kinda design.
i really don't like nail art. but who knows, some people might be able to rock it :/
yeah, nail art isn't for everyone. I think it looks good on people who LOOK like they know what they're doing, lol
I've always wanted to get a *nail piercing*...where u get a fake nail and pierce a lil hoop thru it, haha...
i dont know, it's just my ghettoness though. I personally dont even let my nails grow long enough. but it looks great on the right people!
I don't know...maybe...
undeniably tacky
some is tacky looking and some look very nice is not over powering.
I don't think it is always without exception tacky, but it's also not me at all, so I don't envision that I would ever do it.
t-t-tacky
I wouldn't call it tacky, but it always seems too young to me. I remember all of my friends and I doing it in Junior High.
For ym b-day I put little diamonds on my fakers but that's the most I've done
Haha I used to put little rhinestones on my nails - when I was like 12. It's really just for Halloween now, if ever!
I used to be a nail technician (for 12 years) and when I first started out in the late 80's early 90's nail art was extremely popular!! I made so much extra money on it! I am talking $150 extra a week. Especially at Halloween and Christmas. But over the years the "natural" look has become much more "in". French manicures are more popular than nail art. I have to admit, since I did nails I wore them too...nice long acrylics...and I wore my share of nail art, but always tasteful...nothing gaudy. I got compliments all the time and it was a definite business catcher. When someone saw my nails and asked about them I handed them my business card. I got lots of clients that way.
i don't even like fake nails, much less nail art.
I didn't know this was still in style...like Faery I remember it being hugely popular in the 90's but nowadays the french manicure is more popular...I thought it was tacky back then!
Course...I don't really do anything fancy to my nails. I keep them short, and natural. Doesn't make sense to gussy them up when you have to wear latex gloves all day
Oh yeah...and my fingers are way too long for fake nails. Just makes them look loooooooonger.
i'm not into it
Tacky
Maybe but I like to keep it simple.. Nail polish will be just fine.
i'll rock a few rhinestones every now and again....i think it's fun!!!
I think most of it looks kind of tacky.
I prefer a solid color, but that's just me. I find nail art and even french manicures with those crazy long acrylics tacky.
I was in 5th grade!
I love nail art! It doesn't have to be the crazy acrylic nails (which I NEVER wear). I love the little shiny stickers on top of a solid color. Not too over the top! But don't wear them to work please... I do this all in my spare time.
My signature is always a french pedi with something on my big toes. It's usually a flower, sometimes something different that allows my personality to show through, a cupcake, a butterfly, a snowman in the winter, a watermelon slice in the summer. And it's on my feet, so I can wear closed shoes and no one has to see
no way! ghetto!
nail salons in japan and s.korea are just fabulous, you gals have NO idea!!! the nail art isnt like the states...where it's extremely 'ghetto' and done by old vietnamese ladies. in the states, nail art is the style of the 80's, just terrible. there are japanese nail shops in L.A. i recommend you gals to try it out!!!
I like it on my toes only!
i love it, but i only do a little stone on my thumb. BUT if i ever go to japan...im soo getting them done. if you guys wanna see some crazy fake nails, google "koda kumi" she is an awsome singer and one of her signatures is her nails
I'm in cosmetology school right now and I know how fun nail art can be but it's really not for me at all. If I want fun nails I'll just add sparkles or something like that.
Nail art and acrylic nails go well with orange "tans" and frosted hair
It can totally be cute... but it can definitely be tacky as well. Small and simple designs work best.
If you work with your hands all day, nail art is a waste of time. It's ruined before you even start in the morning.
Maybe I would do something like once in my life, but come on...this is sooooo tacky! It's totally the cliche of the huge nails that are neon pink and weird shapes, if you want to be on the worst dressed then this is the look for you.
NO! DISGUSTING! Ahh I can't even take people seriously if they have this sh*t on their nails. Even toes!
Grossness
Ditto KadBunny! Grossness!
For toes, yes. Hands - no way!
