Well, you certainly had a lot to say about Urban Decay's choice of web-celeb Cory Kennedy as its new face. Fashionista has a glimpse of the ads that will soon show up on counters, and they're pretty bold. Not sure I'll be reviving the '80s with pink and blue eye shadow, but then again, I'm not a teenage hipster . . .

Hmmm... I certainly won't be wearing those colors, but I don't think the ads are particularly good or bad... they're very UD, though.
1Not bad...their colors are fun! I love wearing funky eyeshadow for a night out.
2so, after reading a bit about her, she's basically a tween-tramp turned web celeb. and why should i care? i mean, other than to make sure my daughter doesn't turn out that way...
she's basically a nobody who either got lucky, or 'got lucky' with the right person (or the wrong person, as the case may be).
more power to her, though, for landing the ads. the pics mostly look good, but that last one reminds me that even the biggest losers can make it big if they try hard enough.
3The make up is fun, and if I was teenage jail bait I might wear it, but I just can't get the bad taste for Cory Kennedy out of my mouth. I've always been appalled by her behavior in a "where are her parents" kind of way.
4I like it...
5Since I really have no clue who she is and can therefor just look at the ads, I think they're pretty cool looking, although I'm thinking that if I wore those colors I'd look like a crazy tramp.
6I know who Cory Kennedy is, but I still don't get why she's "famous". She has the conventionally pretty thing going for her, maybe, but her eyes always look droopy in a particularly unattractive way, like she's half-asleep or drugged up (or both).
The makeup is great though. I'll always love my UD.
7I don't really like this shot, but two of the other shots I saw on fashionista aren't bad...
I love Urban Decay though.
8I don't like how the make up is on her.
9I had no idea who she was until this moment, but I'm a fan of UD and I tend to wear bold eye colors like that at least once a week - even to work. But then, I have a rep of being the edgy music teacher, so I can get away with it. It took me a long time to feel comfortable doing it, but it's kind of fun.
10I don't think I would do such an extreme cat eye, though.
(I am pretty sure she's wearing "Fishnet", with liner in "Lust" and some "Air Guitar" glitter, if you want to know.)
I have no clue who she is, but the makeup in the ad is definitely eye catching and you don't have to wonder what it's an ad for. I don't think I'll be wearing any of those colors any time too soon, but I don't mind them in an ad.
11I hate the colors, but I love the ad.
12I would never wear these colors this way and I don't like Cory. I agree with posters that are saying "where are her parents" and "why is she famous"...She's left a bad taste in my mouth as well. I tend to associate her with last mondays trash i took out..
13I don't really know who she is, but its a makeup ad. Of course the colours are going to be over-the-top. Look at some of the pics on sephora. I personally would never wear those colours but it looks really good as a showcase for the product!
14I don't know who she is, but I looked at the other ads, and they all...look...the same. Someone commented on the fashionista page that she looks like a little girl playing dress-up, and I have to agree.
15who is she?
16love it but I don't know who she is
17There is nothing new or cutting edge about applying purple this way
18I wouldn't wear it out, but looks good in the ad.
19cory kennedy represents everything i hate in our society today...but...i really do like the ads
20ok here is what i see. on the poses where she is not looking straight at the camera and her head is tilted she can get away as "almost" being a good model for these type makeup shoots. however the straight on shot shows just how out of her element she is. whether she means it or not she looks like a drugged out adolescent and no amount of airbrushing is going to get rid of those vacuum druggie eyes. her hair looks gorgeous. i WILL give her that.
in my opinion, urban decay did not make a wise choice. it gets people talking but as for making people want to purchase their makeup from these ads, eh i just don't see it happening. people will buy their makeup IN SPITE of these ads not BECAUSE of them.
21I have no idea who this girl is, but Urban Decay is wonderful!
22I don't know who she is either but I like it!
23I like the colors for a night out or something but I think she looks slutty (and I say that without any idea of who she is) - I think they should have picked someone with a bit less of a "let's play with fire" vibe and concentrated on making the makeup look fun instead of bad girl material.
24I'm not crazy about this ad.
25i hate cory kennedy. she is famous for being a crackhead hipster
26She looks a LOT like Rose McGowan in this pic.
27i really love the lip color, i could live without the 80's eyeshadow.
28No idea who she is, she isn't very pretty but the make up is very statementy.
29I don't care about her or her style. She's not pretty or stylish enough to be modeling. And I'm not going to wear these colors.
30i wish advertising would easy off on the photoshop.
31At least she looks clean :\..In every picture I have seen her in,she looks like she needs a scrubbing! UD is not known for natural, everyday makeup, but she does look good.
32She looks like she can't even stay awake!
She looks drugged up.
The makeup is fabulous, but she looks dead.
33Never heard of the girl but I like the color and the ad.
34Wow. She looks really pretty here. Kinda different to her usual look, but still edgy. She seems to know how to strike a pose
35Ok, can someone tell me who this girl is?! Everyone keeps saying, "I know who she is, I hate her." So who is she?? And yes, I know I could google it, but I'm lazy.
Anyway, the pics are ok IMO, though I wish they'd blended the eyeshadow a bit more...
36Love the ad! I am a girl who loves bright color in beauty and fashion - wear it all the time!!!
37Fabulous! Bold, vibrant and vivid. Great for an ad campaign to showcase the colours but I wouldn't wear it walking down the street.
38i dont understand why people are taking the time to slate cory kennedy. i dont understand the "crack head" thing either; she's got a beautiful face and i have nothing but praise for her.. totally the epitome of cool and shes pretty much one of my heroes.. explaining this creep-esque defence for her.. i'm the same age as her and im certainly nowhere near as successful as she is... not by a long shot! the make ups good too, but i couldnt really get away with colours..
39Love the ads myself - UD's website has this and two other looks up with her, all bright bold colors which I think we could use more of in makeup. Only wish UD would bring back their lipsticks and lipgunks, everything they offer now is way too sheer.
40Though I love the ads, I'm not sure how I feel about Cory - seems like a genuinely cool girl, I like her style and taste in music. I guess I'm just not sure how I feel about her fame. Most pics I've seen of her she's not really wearing much makeup so I must admit pairing her with Urban Decay seems a bit weird, not the first person I would go to for an UD ad.
She looks good in that one picture. Most of the pictures I've seen her in she looks drunk or stoned.I don't really have to say much
41I love UD.She looks ok.In most of her pictures she looks like she's high or drunk.I love the colors but not on her.
