Meet Angela Bismarchi. She's a 36-year-old Brazilian model who is preparing for her 42nd plastic surgery. At 21, she had her first surgery: a breast lift. From there, she's married two plastic surgeons and is coming up with something pretty intense for next month's Carnival festivities:
Just days before Brazil’s Feb. 2-6 carnival begins, Bismarchi will have nylon wires implanted in her eyes to give them an Asian slant, in line with this year’s theme of her samba group, Porto da Pedra: the centennial of Japanese immigration to Brazil.
Whoa. I almost don't know where to begin with this story. It's one thing to go for a little plastic surgery; it's another to have nearly three treatments every year for a decade and a half. And what's with treating Asian eye shapes as an accessory? I'm dying to know what you think about this story, so please let me know.

Wires? Wha? This is insane. What if they pop out at some point and she ends up looking like The Terminator? I don't get it.
Does she really need an Asian slant?? I mean I'm all for plastic surgery but this is an obsession.
I don't get it either.
The surgeons are just as crazy as she is if they agree to such a procedure. Wires?
The carnival only lasts 4 DAYS!
Maybe she skipped a grade and doesn't know that COSTUMES & MAKEUP can work perfectly for getting into the spirit of a theme party/carnival!!
I heard about her. She's nuts.
She's lost it. She abuses plastic-surgery! Now that's insane!
That's ridiculous! I'm not against plastic surgery, but there is such thing as too much!
From what I understand plastic surgery is VERY big in Brazil. Most of the Miss USA contestants have had some form of plastic surgery. The women in that country are very beautiful. being in Brazil is pretty intimidating for American women. I'm all for keeping it natural but if you do engage in plastic surgery do it in moderation. This is excessive.
yea a lot of brazilian women that are considered beautiful here (hint hint vicky secret models) have gone under the knife and like pklotus said, it can be intimidating. i mean when perfection is constantly walking past you, plastic surgery will seem like the mother you never had
Well, I guess if you are getting that much plastic surgery it becomes like a fashion accessory. But WEIRD!! I mean, most people would buy, like, Asian-inspired earrings or a dress for such an event.
I think it's ridiculous. Your body needs time to heal after surgery, imagine the stress from having an average of three surgeries for ten years.
She's crazy, people sometimes don't know when to stop.
She obviously has a severe addiction and needs some serious help. She looks pretty normal for having so much work done though. Wierd.
Being part Asian it's funny for me to see the roles reversed.
So many Asian women go under the knife so they can have a crease in their eye lids, making them look more Caucasian, now some weirdo is making it so she looks Asian.
Ew. Just... wrong. She looks quite scary - and I can't imagine wanting to change your appearance that much! Or that often... jeez. Just ... uncool, generally. I don't like plastic surgery at all (unless we're talking breast reductions or reconstructive surgery, but that's not really the same...)
umm sad and pathetic
This reminds me of that lady that looks like a cat-- Jocelyn Wildenstein. Oh, and that woman on Oprah that had had all that cosmetic surgery and then got pregnant and was worried she wouldn't be able to carry the baby and what it would do to her "perfect" body. I think people that have too much plastic surgery look alien. Like Janice Dickinson.
I feel really sorry for her. She needs a good therapist not another surgeon.
Ew ew ew...
Craziness!
I dont know about you, but id be more interested and seeing all of her before and after pictures. I wonder if she is recognizable from how she looked previously...
I think that people can become addicted to plastic surgery, just like any other compulsive behavior. What makes me sick is that there are doctors allowing these procedures. Anytime that you have surgery, you open yourself up to infections and complications, and I am surprised that she hasn't run into trouble before.
She's getting an 'asian slant' for a carnival? That's crazy.
Surgery sucks. I don't understand why anyone would have it done needlessly.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and allowed to do what they want to their body. Yes I think this is excessive, but I relly don't think she cares what others this. Plastic Surgery can be an awesome thing, helping people out, but just like Anything else, in excess it can be bad.
What exactly does she model for?? She's skaggy looking.
I'm not usually one to be super harsh however this woman is insane!
what the!!! 42nd?? can u say crazy? and is it just me or is she givin us the finger??
The sad thing is, even WITH all that surgery, I still don't find her that beautiful just because she almost LOOKS plastic. =/
well i guess my asian eyes are one accessory i don't have to pay for. this is quite excessive. while i would never have plastic surgery myself, but for others, it's fine - in moderation!
It think it's facinating. I, in no way condone plastic surgery or would ever think to get anything tweaked, but I have seen what it does for people's self esteem in a body conscious society. It's like an addiction, once a surgery goes good another one doesn't seem too bad. This woman has taken it to the extreme. I know people who are like this with tatoos, to the point where they are running out of space on their body. Body modification is a funny thing to me, I think that the little physical differences make people who they are.
That sends shivers down my spine.
Asian women are so beautiful and I'd love to look like one, but having surgery for it? Nuts!! You just need to appreciate what you have. I understand a minor tweaking here and there, but major surgeries like this just scream Wacko Jacko.
Someone needs a new hobby...
gosh i think that's going way overboard, especially since it's only for a festival thats going to last for a few days...
i wonder if she ever regrets some of the surgeries she's done, but then again, judging by the outrageousness of this surgery, i doubt it.
ok to get a little plastic surgery? i think the whole idea of it is creepy!
Well, guys, as a brazilian, I got to tell you: she's a "model", if you know what I mean??? She's horrible, not a good looking girl... Her husband done all these plastic surgeries to make her the most beautiful woman on Earth, according to what he likes or dislikes. Here in Brasil, people do that kind of stuff to be "pretty" and obviously it's kinda out of control, you know? But, don't worry, she's the Queen of Plastic Surgeries, not Queen of Beauty! That's for sure!!!
Doctors must be thrilled to have her as a "living doll" to play with and try new techniques!
insanity.
SHE'S MAD!
First of all what 21 year old needs a breast lift. Secondly what kind of doctor is going to do a procedure like this for a carnival.
It's pretty sad when you've had more surgeries than you have lived in the earth. Another thing, I'm all for personal decisions but when she is getting these surgeries to break a record... come on. she's now just looking for things to do, get a hobby. And the fact she's married two plastic surgeons clearly tells me she's using them, whether she knows it or not. She needs mental help and the doctors that insert these nylon wires into her face need help. It's one thing to get a nose job or a boob job or an ear tuck or even butt implants... it's something completely different when you want to look like something you're not. She doens't look like a 36 year old, she's quite weird looking but then again who am I to say that she's weird looking...... I haven't had 42 plastic surgeries. Whatever, my rant is done... it'll eventually catch up to her and she's explode (or maybe implode) and hopefully then she'll realize natural is great, i just hope her child doens't take after her....
and... the massive fake boobs are not cool... and i'd like to know how she raises her child (children?? does she have more than one)... let's see.. gets a surgery about three times a year for a decade or so... that means that for a decade she was always recovering and back into surgery... then modelling and now doing the carnival.. and i mean even if her husband is a surgeon, you figure she has to pay for some things... im' sorry my child is more important to me than filling me with plastic and metal... it's people like this who need special help and need to be shown a dose of reality before their head gets too big.. this whole things just makes me mad...
she needs mental treatment
@ Anabj lol
She's battling self-esteem issues. I personally think these cosmetic surgeons should have therapists is their office two days before the surgery. However, this idea would hurt their pockets...

That's all I have to say!
What the...?
I think she takes it to the same place, psychologically, as people who get really into body modification with loads of tattoos or piercings. Whatever makes her happy.
I hope it's just a temporary thing..just for the festival...then she'll get the wires taken out. This is nuts.
