Chemical peels sound terrifying, don't they? But the benefits your skin reaps after shedding that dead, dull skin can be worth a little chemical reaction. While most treatments can cost you upwards of $200 — for one peel alone — there are a few options you can use in the comfort of your own home. Our three favorites include one for antiaging, one that gives a red carpet glow, and one suited best for acne. But best of all, all offer little downtime and are safe to use without a professional. We've heard of medicinal plants in skin care, like ginseng or witch hazel, but did you know that applying aspirin to your skin can also have beauty benefits? That's because the effective ingredient in aspirin is chemically similar to salicylic acid, which helps exfoliate skin. You can whip up your own aspirin mask with three simple ingredients for a skin-softening, acne-fighting treatment that's simple, cheap, and effective. Use it as an exfoliating paste, or leave it on your skin for about five minutes as a mask. Either way, you should see brighter, softer skin with less dullness. For the supersimple aspirin mask recipe, just read more.

Summer is prime time for blondes to go on parade, and four of them stepped out sporting incredibly different takes on sexy waves. Actress Leven Rambin sported the braided undercut trend, which she paired with vintage-style waves, while Heidi Klum styled her glossy waves with a sleek side part. Kristin Cavallari opted for full-on Southern California beach waves, and Kate Hudson went for a more soft and relaxed take with her hair. Blondes and waves go together incredibly well, but whose style did you like best?
Summer is full of hot beauty moments — from bright, coral lips at a beach bonfire to funky nail art at the Summer cookout. And thanks to vacations and plenty of long weekends away from the office, there are plenty of opportunities to show off your boldest makeup risks.
